The last 50 seconds of that game were about as poorly coached as one can have. Not one good look. Two chucks from 3 and a turnover.
Fred Glass destroyed one of the best things about this university. That is unforgivable.
Not seeing much D either. Has yet to explain to his young charges how to rotate over to help down low.
Hate to turn on him when things are tough but he's been with these guys long enough to teach his defensive rules to them...
Not sure if offense is as much Arch as it is players.
We started out standing around, then got some movement after a TO. Hard for me to believe Arch was wanting them to stand when seeing that.
This is a low IQ group. Was screaming at the screen for Green to fade to the corner to allow for a driving lane for Romeo after handing it off to him near the top - he stayed about 4 feet away instead of dropping down to the corner. Has no concept of spacing.
You kidding?....they played really good D today. Just have to score more than 52 points to beat anyone.
Be honest: just how many breakdowns go back to Smith?
That last Ohio St basket by Wesson - Smith gets beat again. So much athletic ability wasted by his stupidity.
There was no excuse for having Smith on the court at the end. Davis should have been in....that's on Archie.
Fellas I do believe Archie deserves a full 4 years of his recruiting. However I am sensing that I have seen this movie before. I hope this is not Deja vu and Archie was not a mistake. Hoosiers have always been known as tough hard nosed and smart basketball players. What has happened to the legacy of Indiana basketball?

Well, they certainly aren’t playing with a high basketball IQ. Playing out of position and not making good decisions can lead to frustration, which makes you look like you’re not playing hard.
Archie totally in over his head. He would be in over his head coaching in a church league.
Ok - what should he being doing instead? Please be specific in what he should be doing differently from a coaching standpoint.

Alabama was bad for years as was Oklahoma. With the HS talent we produce IU will one day regain elite status.

not his fault if miller wants him to hedge the screen. either you hedge which leaves you susceptible to the slip screen or you let the defender go under or chase over. we have been hedging all year so i assume smith is doing as coached. not his fault. good call bt holtmann taking advantage of indiana tendencies for the winning basket
For some reason, IU is not capable of hiring a football or basketball coach that is good at offense AND defense.

He doesn’t run an offense there is no movement. His offense is predicated on turning over the opponent. Good teams don’t turn it over and can hit 3s. This isn’t the Atlantic 10
Funny during the pre game show he talked about needing ball and player movement and playing with pace but maybe the kids did not execute it.
Or perhaps the other coach knows what we will do and devises a game plan to mitigate any possible damage
At least somebody shows some fit of anger when it comes to the play of our team. I guess I’ll carry that torch. Archie sure doesn’t. No accoutibility. Not a single moment where the guy gets on anybody. Just to make a statement when Mr. Bluechip throws another of his lazy passes and decides not to get back on defense.....I send in Johnny or Vijay and let them play extended minutes.
We’re going to lose regardless. Give somebody else a chance to lose and see if they at least do it with effort?
Why do some of you get so upset over your team losing in a game, is it just your self worth is so tied up on your team winning a game. We all want to win and be the best but some of you guys just go way over board over an outcome of a game.
I've come to the conclusion you don't actually watch the games and get on here just to troll people. You're a sneaky one, Scott.
Nope watch every second of the game and yelled and screamed at the TV all day. What I can do is after the game I can get over it and move on and not let it ruin my mood. I couldn't say the same thing 20 years ago because losing totally ruined my day but after growing up and having kids I realized there are way more important things in life that will raise my blood pressure.
