… is not a tourney team, had we put forth more effort, would have shown better.

Really crappy basketball. I am convinced that kids
spend all of their time on cell phones rather that
practicing to improve their basketball skill.

Never post early in a game. They beat a really good ISU team. Two years now their coach has done more with less.
I think O$U had more talent last year and this year than us. Big ten player of year last year and the incoming class Holtmann inherited was ranked best in big ten.

He and Archie were not at the same starting point.

Matta got talent. Classic underachiever.

Lol. We had the 2 best players on the court both times season and still got smoked. Holtmann owns Archie.

Wesson owned Morgan. If Wesson lasts 4 years he’s B1G POY caliber.

And yeah - that’s 2 of 5.

The jury is still out on Archie. I get that. IMO Chris had a better platform to build from

1. Two players would be great if we were playing 2 on 2 but does not equal a team.

2. Davis is the only person on our team that could have guarded the 6'10 270lb Wesson. He didn't play in the first matchup. The second he had some very questionable calls go against him to keep him off the court.

3. Holtmann imherited Matta's roster that had been decimated the season before due to injuries to a lot of important players (sound familiar?) including the B10 PoY in Holtmann's first season. He did not lack shooters, size, or a PG, and didn't graduate 5 in his first year. The roster was tailor made.

Please do a direct roster comparison for the last two years and tell me which team had less. Last year, IU had the lowest rated talent pool in the B10, according to HS ratings. Illinois and Rutgers were the only comparable rosters when it came to recruiting ratings. The only shooter and only makeshift PG both were lost to graduation. Once Davis got hurt, there was a glaring hole in the middle (Juan doesn't have the size to be a 5. Smith was recruited as a 3.) So, no....the situations aren't even remotely comperable. Oh, and OSU struggled pretty mightily on the extremely deep B10 this year, too....in case you forgot. Include at least a little bit of reality in your fantasies, please.

I agree that OSU had a more talented team than IU last year, but not this season.
This IU team underperformed more than any in my 40 years of following the team.

More than the '04 and '11 teams? Nah. But still underperformed.
