I agree with the OP. Woodson did a nice job tonight. He had timeouts and set plays when necessary and he went back to the key scorers in the 2nd.

Good win for Coach and for this young team.

It was 56-50 and IU seemed in danger of letting it slip away, then Woodson called a TO and IU scored on their next 7 possessions and kept it close until the end where they took advantage of opportunities to take the lead and win. Woodson down the stretch coached a brilliant game, especially putting Ware on the inbounds pass at the end. And what timing Ware had, right?

Well, it was 13 TO's. 10 in the first half so only 3 in the second half was pretty good.

After years of Crean/Archie when I knew we were going to piss it away down the stretch, I found myself thinking during this game: we'll find a way to win this one. Woodson chippin away in terms of the culture, love to see it.

I've been impressed with Woody since the start of NY. I think that implies he's been working well with them since before the NYC games.

I still wonder why we started the year so poorly. But maybe this group of kids needed to experience the struggles against those early teams, for Woody to get their full attention?

No question though, Woody has the guys playing better, and Woody himself has coached some great games in the last couple weeks.
