Please don’t even joke about Woodson coming back
It might help if Leal and Galloway are able to hit the front end of a 1-1 down the stretch. How are "shooting" guards so miserable from the line. Almost cost them another game. I don't blame Woodson for their low percentage.
I guess you tell them, "I can't use you in close games if you can't hit free throws" and have a shooting coach work with them to get better?
I bet he wants to unretire because we all know he retired and was not forced out!!
Too bad they are still in that deep hole that he dug trying to get over that hump.
They are 6-8 and this team was picked to finish 2nd. Even if they won out they would be 12-8 and that's still an underachieve. But they are not winning out.

If a player is not shooting well, it's on the coaching staff to work with them and correct any issues. I don't see that happening.

Exactly. FT shooting is not something I blame the coaches for, unless I’m willing to credit them for Ballo, MM, and MR.
Ahhh…the typical knee-jerk reaction syndrome when a team not expected to win pulls out 1 win. “Oh, we made a mistake! Woodson is the man to lead us!”

I think he was joking. That being said it reminds me of when we were 4-1 and woodson was talking about how great we were playing. The wins were against the worst teams in the big ten and it was all a mirage.
so Calbert needs to get Leal and Gallo to start shooting FTs with the left hand. Problem solved.

Not really. 4 years previous average 57.5% Hes shooting 58.5% this year and the season aint over. I dont think its gonna get better in the remaining games.

I think 8th graders could shoot higher than 60%. These two are 5th year seniors.....

Shooting FTs in the last minute of a tight game always comes down to toughness. Some call it confidence. Especially on the road, you’ve got step up and tell yourself I’m gonna shut every single one of these screaming people. Then proceed to net 2. The actual opposite of what we mostly saw last night.
