I’ve dealt with Ulcerative Colitis for 20 years. Have taken 4 horse pills every day of those years. Stress activates it periodically and it becomes painful and rectal bleeding which scares a crap out of me. I have to do colonoscopies more often than normal. My Doc is in Eville but I’d like to move to Bloomington.

Anybody have recommendation?

Quit the Cooler.

"Prodyot Ghosh, Bret Spier,or Dan Selo with GI Bloomington-- in that order. If he prefers to go to the med center in Indy then Dr Rex, or their provider that specializes in UC. Not sure who that is."

Replace "clients" with "cougars", and your predicament sounds alot like what McM deals with in West Central STL.
No cougars for me. Years of allowing stress to overwhelm my life caused all the health issues I’ve dealt with. Never been able to not worry about every clients problems.

Interesting as I am now investigating Health insurance. The Wife has IBS, but has been well maintained for 3-4 yrs via medication and a procedural Colonoscopy every 2 years.
Obama care is $1200 a month, Thanks O'bama. Private insurance that doesn't cover the IBS is <$400 a month.
Why again are my tax $$'s paying for Mark (and other) health insurance when I can't afford to pay for my own?

You going to get another gig in your field?

I have no plan to work for anyone, ever again. I had set the stage for my own consulting/ independent Rep gig 3 years ago. LLC is set up, contacts stored, feelers sent out and positive reviews received. NOW, 8 days unemployed, with $ in the bank, I am in a slow roll of analysis paralysis. I expect to get over it in the nest 3-4-5..... Months or years... I've not decided which yet. :)
With the exception of Medical, I can live on $800-$1000 a month.... I've got time to figure it out. Now just to convince the wife that her meat options are squirrel or deer, unless she picks up a 2nd job! Totally up to her. :)

Damn you got your nut down to nothing. Sounds like a good plan. Just get out there and start

I’ve been giving that a lot of thought. My stress is still dealing with 3500 clients when I am supposed to inky be dealing with 20/40 maybe. Unfortunately I gave them all my cell number.
You're still working? I thought you sold your business?

Dave Ramsey would be proud.
And you have always thought that I was a high roller!
I did travel VERY WELL on the company card. I had a total earth shattering (positive) thought 3 days ago. I am free to go back to living my redneck life which is happy, free and beholden to NO ONE for anything!
Having said that, Dave would be semi pissed that I have a small HELOC. But there are funds to pay it off, thanks to Dave's plan. I was just waiting a few more months.

Dude, I'm retired. Let's get into the loan sharking business. I'll throw up some cash and you can be the enforcer.

Credit cards are getting 25% - 30%.

We go hang out at casinos and catch the losers coming out.

Sound good?

Dave-ish is better than nothing. Most people don't do things exactly as he would recommend. He's even lightened up on a few things. I've even heard him advise getting a small signature note to pay the difference between what you owe on a car and what it's worth if that's what it takes to get out from under. But he still won't countenance credit cards. So I'm a bad Ramsey fan, since we use one for all our routine purchases (and pay it off every month) so SWMBO can get her air miles.

I did the HELOC when % rates were ~2%, in anticipation that after 2020 it was going bat shit crazy, and it could stay open/ flexible for 10 years fixed at 2%. Well I was correct about after 2020, and although my loan officer promised me that it was fixed at +/- 2%........... I didn't read page 246 of the HELOC papers. I knew better but did it anyway! STUPID.

monthly Credit card, Meh. Dave also speaks a lot about Momma being happy, even when she is WRONG, is better than her not getting her way no matter how stupid it is. Marriage and birth rates are down, because Men are finally starting to understand that outside of advancing the human race, Men really don't need a woman in their lives. A Woman only causes 99 hours of grief, for 1 hour of someone to do menial task that can be contracted out to start with.

We do the same thing except instead of air miles we get cash. We have one that pays 2% back on everythng. We also have one that pays 5% back on gasoline. The last rebate from the 2% card was $88. We probably get $500-$600 back every year.

Wife's last trip to Sask a couple months ago cost her $47 round trip, and that's because she bought flight insurance.

Pre Covid when travel was still an expectation, I would put it on whatever card was giving me the most cash. Some years it would push over 2k. It was like a little bonus for all the time away and that was our weekend fun money.

Little weekend getaways. Like the auburn classic car museum
