GAME THREAD: UM 15 @ IU 20. FINAL.

Gary Danielson is absolutely correct, it is unrealistic to expect a team to steamroll through their entire schedule. This game is actually important to the development of this football team if they respond to it in the right way.

Also, 'Michigan is terrible' is a terrible take. It's lazy and reactionary.

Anyway, imo regardless of what happens in two weeks IU has a great shot at the CFB Playoff. We can talk about this now. We can talk about the Ohio State game too because we are 1-0 against meatchicken.

I had them at 8-4 before the season began. There was no scenario that I could envision them 11-1. Today we may have seen the difference between 5☆ and 3☆ size and athleticism. OSU will be even more of the same and on the road. The bye week couldn't be more timely.

Illinois curbstomped them
Calling them any other than terrible, is shallow and pedantic.

What is shallow is this idea that if you aren't in the top 10 you are terrible. A lot of fans seem to think this way and it is a function of several things that I won't get into because I don't want to be pedantic lol. Michigan would beat half the teams in the country (plus or minus 10 percent we'll say) - they are average not terrible.

Michigan had a bunch of turnovers.

Their defense is still very good. The interior DL is probably the best in the country.

They don’t have the depth of last year and their secondary has lost key guys but othe than Texas, they’ve given UM a chance in every game.

I am not sure how you got to 8-4 given a new coach and system for a bad team. I had them at 4 wins.

Ok mediocre then.
The OOC schedule IU insists on playing is terrible and does them no favors.
