Server is down at work so here I am... Baylor, San Diego St., and WVU are all on the bubble lists in addition to those in the thread title, but they have no games prior to Sunday.

Texas v Tennessee - Game currently early in the first half.

UNC v Duke - 7pm ET

Boise St v New Mexico - 9:30pm ET

Colorado St v Utah State - Midnight ET

Do any of these teams losing effect our position on Selection Sunday? CSU fans believe they're in no matter what (per Reddit). UNC might play a Duke team with an injured Flagg. I don't know anything about the other teams and just pulled the bubble list from CBS.

Sadly, Texas looks to slip in regardless of today. And i feel IU's best chances is their ability to sell out Dayton next Tuesday or Wednsday.

Relying on the outcomes of other teams games to squeak into a tournament is a characteristic of a piss-poor program. We have to wait for others to fail to get in.

We’ve been a piss pour program for 8 years. No news flash here.

The question was who has to lose for us to make this final four.

This is where I'm pretty much at right now. I don't want Dayton but we have to take anything at this point... not that IU deserves it.

Probably discussed in another thread, but do you think Texas' 6-12 conference record keeps them out (14th place in conference).

If we get Dayton we might squeeze by someone, then lose to a 6 seed by 25 in the next game. It’s the same story every year that a Woodson team gets blown out to end the season.

Texas 12-15 vs Quad 1,2,3
Indiana 15-14 vs Quad 1,2,3
No making a case for either team. I'm sure the committee is looking at everything. If they favor Q1 wins, Texas has an edge. If they focus more on "bad losses," IU has an edge.

Neither is worthy of a bid, but at least one of the names will be called on Selection Sunday.

I agree with you on that. There are some bad bubble teams. I think the fact that Texas would be the 14th team from the SEC to get in will also benefit the Hoosiers.

In the extremely rare case where I root for a Duke win, they just had to make it difficult. UNC goes down and are now 1-12 in Q1 games.

Nah, we aren't piss poor. Presently we are mid-pack among Power Conference teams. As we speak IU is probably in the top 25 percent of all Division I programs (being conservative), maybe the top 20 percent. Being a perennial bubble team is not the top of the mountain of course but it's not Tartarus, the lowest abode of Hades, either.
We've been ranked in the Top 25 in 8 of the last 14 seasons and in the Top 10 in 3 of the last 10 seasons. I believe the year the Tournament was cancelled due to SARS-COV-2 that IU was on a trajectory to be selected. Thus, if IU squeaks in Sunday (and assuming my Covid year assumption is correct), then we've had a Tournament Team 4 out of the last 6 years. (If not 3 of 6.) We've been Big Ten Champions within the last 10 years and 3 times since 2002. Since Coach Knight left we've been in the NCAA Tournament 12 times (possibly 13 Sunday), in the second round 8 times, in the Sweet 16 4 times, and of course we were Nationals Runners-Up in 2002 (thanks to a run of near miraculous shooting).
What I am NOT saying is that I am satisfied with this or that we ought not aim higher. I would love to see another National Championship. I would love to take it for granted that we are going to be ranked and at least a 4 or a 5 seed. I would love to win the Big Ten Tournament for once just to have that on our resume.
But I am saying that this idea that unless we are in the Final Four we are garbage is obnoxious to me. I get it is a message board and we fans talking amongst ourselves are given to shall we say verbal flourishes. But we can aim for greater accomplishment in the future without denegrating lesser accomplishment in recent years. I know there is disappointment and that some will argue that underachieving is a recurring theme. Maybe that is the case but our guys haven't been total bums who accomplished nothing. There have been some big wins and some fun moments along the way. Piss poor they are not, Woodson included.

There is no doubt woodson met the bar with his six million dollar roster. He did his job for sure. Piss poor no way this team was picked second preseason.

Lunardi has us as the 3rd team out. Kinda seems like it’s not gonna happen at this point. Fitting way for Woodson to end I guess.

Grok gives us an 85 to 90 percent chance of making it. It has us either as an 11 in the last 4 byes or as a 12 in Dayton. Dang it, stress lol! 🥴

Bracket Matrix has IU in on 97 out of 113 brackets, with a projected 11 seed. For comparison sake, here are the projections for some other bubble teams:

SD St. is in on 105 of 113, 11 seed;
Texas, 74 of 113, 11 seed;
UNC, 73 of 113, out;
Xavier, 63 of 113, out;
Boise St., 27 of 113, 12 seed.

If the Matrix proves to be accurate, then IU can absorb 2 bid stealers and still make it in. Just about as bubbly as it gets.

SD St., IU, VCU, and Texas would play in Dayton, while WVU and Drake (!) would be the non-Dayton 11 seeds.

Wow an actual rational, fact-based post on this topic. Thank you.
