We have had several post here about the game day experience, well here
is one that needs immediate attention, the dumpsters at the west entrance
stink to high heaven. The noxious smell coming from these trash receptacles right at
our front door is unbelievable.

Several noted that they saw band members sleeping in the dumpsters. Could that be why they stink?

It's one lane for quite a while. I went through Nashville from Greenwood so I would miss that mess. I would avoid it if at all possible.

if you want to take in Nashville, so be it.

but if not, going 25 miles out of your way on an otherwise 45 mile trip, and having 2 lane the entire route, (as opposed to maybe 10-15 miles of it), is hardly the best route from Greenwood to Btown.

as for the band the B1G Ten net actually showed part of the pregame. I don't like complaining about kids so ill say it was because of the microphones picking up different parts of the band that made them sound ridiculously out of tune but the audio was less than good. it sounded like the band barney fife led through Mayberry before they brought in the ringers. and for god sakes they were playing the fight song. if they cant get that right there are huge problems....had to be the networks fault...I hope....and I guess the vertical hold on my tv was a bit off...because I know our band can walk 15 yards in the Shape of a giant letter I without losing formation. its not like its the first time they've ever done it.

I need a new tv

I got on 37 at Waverly on the way down and had no trouble though it is 1 lane for a significant stretch from Martinsville to B'town. I'm not sure Saturday was a good indicator though since an 8 p.m. start probably tends to spread traffic out over a much longer part of the day. An afternoon start with more people heading in at the same time might be a different story. It's about the same distance for me coming through Nashville but I usually try to avoid that route on Saturday afternoon in the fall. I still haven't decided how I will come down the rest of the year - game day decision I suppose.

Eh, I'll give them the mic thing. That happens when it only picks up specific instruments. But they have been out of place/unable to form straight lines for two weeks now. I've had guests comment on it.

Maybe people leave at halftime to avoid watching the band. ;)

Band--poor music selection and no fun to watch IMHO. It all starts with the leader of the band.

The same music they played while FIU was lining up on offense got old really fast. By the end of the game, I just wanted them to stop. I guess we should credit them for staying engaged for all 4 quarters. I guess they are somewhat forced to be there as a member of the band, but at least they are enthusiastic.

My excitement level went through the roof when doofus was in the Endzone wearing his Elmer Fudd hunting cap announcing the Mario tricycle race. Quality entertainment right there.

67 to martinsville then over to 37 via 39. Piece of cake the past two weeks arriving about 2 hours before kickoff both times. Sure, it's one lane and everyone is driving 45 mph but it moves. The problem with this route will be when O$U comes to town. Will be a much higher attended game

We got stuck in a line of cars going 40 mph behind a little old lady on 45. Basically, from Crane to where the 4 lane begins as you enter Btown. I can't wait for the next phase of I69 to be completed.

We were curious as we were driving up to the game on Saturday. Where does the latest section of I69 connect to what I expect is 37. It must happen south of 45/37 intersection, but how far south?.
