Wednesday was the final day of a busy month of visits for Indiana in the month of June. Now, July returns to a 'dead period' before visits can begin again in August.

Indiana hosted top-35 guard Jalen Hood-Schifino for an official visit and then class of 2023 forwards Owen Freeman and Austin Parks for unofficial visits.

As far as Jalen Hood-Schifino's visit, all of the talk to come out has been very positive.

Indiana has pushed hard for Hood-Schifino since the coaching change and that has put IU in a good position. Hood-Schifino is a combo guard who can play as a primary or secondary ball handler. He can create his own shot, finish in transition and still create for his teammates. He's a solid shooter as well so his overall skillset is a very good fit for what Indiana is looking for from another guard in the class of 2022.

He has taken other official visits to Georgetown and Tennessee. Indiana and Tennessee seem to be the top line in this recruitment but it is also worth noting that Tennessee just landed a commitment from top-100 point guard BJ Edwards. They are also heavily involved with 5-star combo guard Cason Wallace. Right now, Rivals' national analyst Jamie Shaw has a FutureCast in for Tennessee when it comes to Wallace.

People I've talked to still believe they can all play well together so there is no reason to discount Tennessee at all. They are still very strong here.

As for Bradley-Bourbonnais (IL) Owen Freeman, he is a 6-foot-9 versatile big man who can play both on the perimeter and in the paint. He has solid footwork and the ability to turn over either shoulder and finish at the rim. He has good length and a good frame at close to 230 pounds.

As a sophomore, Freeman averaged 17.7 points, 12 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.4 blocks per game.

Freeman earned an offer on his IU visit.

Freeman on Mike Woodson: "He’s (Mike Woodson) super cool. His basketball IQ is unbelievable. I love what’s he’s trying to do with the program."

He has received offers from Indiana, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Marquette, Purdue, Ohio State, Northwestern, Butler, Wake Forest, Iowa and Illinois amongst others right now.

He is ranked No. 93 in the Rivals100 class of 2023 rankings and will be a very sought after player in the midwest. Most Big Ten schools are involved right now, as are most power-5 in the midwest.

For St. Mary's Memorial (OH) High School center Austin Parks, he was the final visitor this week for Indiana and again left his visit with a scholarship offer.

He averaged 14.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game last season.

Parks is a traditional big man who has a great frame and build for his age. He is a very effective post player who has advanced footwork. He can turn over either shoulder and finish above the rim.

He can be effective at the high or low post and uses his size to get very good post position. Parks is a solid rebounder as well and uses his length to his advantage on both ends of the floor. Right now, he remains someone that sees most action in the paint.

He holds offers from West Virginia, Ohio State, Dayton and Indiana on the power-5 level.

Parks on Mike Woodson: "I liked how he (Coach Woodson) made sure life after basketball will be good whether that’s going pro or having a good job.

Both Freeman and Parks are just getting their recruitment started, but if I were to handicap IU's chances with both, at this time it seems better with Parks.

As for a new offer this week, Indiana extended one to 2022 wing Brice Sensabaugh. The Lake Highland (FL) wing is a three-star prospect and ranked as the No. 45 overall small forward in the class. His recruitment is starting to take off after missing all of his junior season due to a knee injury.

In the past week, he has earned offers from Cincinnati, Indiana, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Florida, Virginia Tech and Xavier.

Sensabaugh on Mike Woodson: "Someone in coach Woodson, you can't complain about it and that's all you can ask for... Someone who has been there and back is really all I'm looking for. The most important thing every college player can have is a great mentor and someone to keep their head on straight."

In the GHSA event last weekend, Sensabaugh averaged an event-high 21.5 points per game. He had three 20+ point games, including 24-point and 26-point outings. He also shot 95.7 percent from the free throw line on 22 attempts. That was where IU assistant Yasir Rosemond watched Sensabaugh and liked his game so much, he came back the next day and brought IU head coach Mike Woodson with him.

He told TheHoosier that he is looking to take his official visits starting this August and Indiana is one he expects to visit.

If I were to keep an eye on a more 'under-the-radar' player for Indiana in it's 2022 class, this would be the guy.

Other notes include:

- Indiana will travel to Syracuse for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge next season
- NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) was passed this week allowing all college athletes to begin profiting off of their brand. So far Parker Stewart and Khristian Lander have officially announced partnerships. It appears Anthony Leal will be hosting a basketball camp as well.
- Coaches will not be able to watch prospects live this weekend. The next live recruiting event begins July 8-11. There will be a big event in Alabama, including guys like Kaleb Banks and Noah Clowney.
