They couldn't find a committee for MTG to lead? Seriously, this is one of those things most people don't care a bit about and it does no political good for the Democrats to harp on it.

From an Independent's perspective, it seems odd that ANY PARTY is unable to identify any woman or POC who is best qualified to lead any committee, of any type.

I guess you get leeway when re-stocking the swamp, muddier and deeper than ever before.

How many GOP presidential candidates have you voted for?

I count 9 for me. 3 Dems. Pretty much what it means to be an Independent.

I think BLM (the ORGANIZATION) is full of shit. I think throwing money at everything is stupid. I think spending without paying for it is stupid. I think guys with dicks playing women's sports is awful. I think absolute hiring quotas is dumb. So.... some might insist I am GOP instead, still. But what I'm NOT is MAGA, for sure.

Or perhaps, maybe, the people that were appointed are just better? Is that possible? I personally could not care less what the color, age, ethnicity, sex, religion, or whatever. I want whoever is the best to win it and act in the best interest.of whomever they represent. Be it an elected official or private sector.

Pointing out that ZERO is an alarming quota isn't bean counting. I don't argue for 8, or 5, or 3, or 1. I merely point out the absurdity of the somewhat* expected number of zero.

*somewhat, in that the last congress surprisingly had 3 of 17 GOP committee chairs being women.
