It’s not that they lost. It’s how. Basically because of a taunting penalty. Total lack of discipline.
They should probably just say from here Forward: “Any taunting or showBoat penalties will lead to pulled rest of that game, TBD if play again.” Make it that simple.
He will not hold his players accountable and that’s what is costing them games.

For that to happen, Allen would have to accept a buyout deal. Carey is an IU alum, but would he be the hire in a true new, national search if one were done and offering the same money?

LOL! It’s the state of INDIANA and the BASKETBALL program is preseason top 10 by many. And Dolson is responsible for taking a chance by hiring Woodson. His job is VERY secure.
IU should never have brought in Bazelak and found one more accurate and mobile. He has been the second reason the team has been losing with his inaccuracy for most of the game. He had one good drive against Illinios not any other games. He makes some good throws but as today showed it wasn't the OL that was the problem with the overthrows.

So we now have the definition of insanity - watching IU Football and expecting a different result.
He is a lousy AD, football should be the focal point of ANY AD. I haven't seen one sign that Dolson can even spell football correctly......
Unfortunately Allen is around for another couple of probably bad years. IU doesn't have the money to pay $25 million after this season, $20 million after 2023 and probably not even the $10 million after 2024. Of course if they wait that long and nothing changes there won't be much of a program left and hiring a high quality coach after Allen will be nearly impossible.
That would be a Dolson type of move. Hell, he’ll probably offer him the job at the water cooler on Monday. Mayberry University.

Kraft hired Carey at Temple who proceeded to run the program into the ground. He hired Hafley at Boston College and they are currently 2-4 and the trajectory of that program is on the way down.
Kraft is not the football hiring savant that some on here make him out to be.
All hype. Nothing but preseason hype. Dolson hired a guy who finished 9th last year and got creamed in the tourney after waiting again till selection Sunday holding our collective breath.
Until we win anything, it’s pretty much hype.
V, from what I have seen, he has very little time to do anything but run for his life. He's not a bad QB, he just plays behind a terrible OL. He plays for team that has no running attack and which can not protect its passer. I feel sorry for him. Obviously, he was sold a "bill of goods".
Just give him a few more years, he's got you guys moving in the right direction.
I agree with you but IU needs a dynamic QB and I don't see Bazelak that way.
