I know we may not be what we used to be but I don't think we've slipped that far yet. And that's not taking anything away from Brownell, he's a solid coach. But we can do better.

Unless May is a complete scumbag, that extension takes him out of consideration. Not one person with any integrity would leave Michigan for IU after agreeing to that extension. IF May would take the IU job, it would become a shit show very quickly at this point.
Brownell has to be this searches Lon Kruger. No way he can be the choice.

Being a perennial bubble team, making tournament twice (pending this season) and having one regular B1G season winning record in the last 9 years isn’t falling far on your scorecard? You have lower standards to consider this “not slipping far”.
I'm happy with Brownell Indiana guy turned Clemson into a good program. I be happy with McCollum if he had more experience just to early for me to hire him.

No matter who the coach hired is, they have to pull a Dusty. At least with Michigan it was a 2 year slide with Howard. We are on a 9 year run of shit.

At this point I'm still willing to give Dolson the benefit of the doubt. We'll soon see.

Brownell has the hardest working agent in CBB.
Perhaps we should see who is hired first. Scott has been doing a good job the last few years.

Don't hold your breath. Great year last year but weak B10 schedule. PSU and Oregon this year with Purdue the only weak team we're playing really.
If the new coach isn’t announced in the next day or two then that means they are coaching in the NCAA tournament.
I think Dolson and co will do the same due diligence as they did in finding Coach Cig, all I ask is to just keep Buckner and his crew far far away from the decision!
IF…Brownell is the hire… I actually might beat the “fire Dolson drum” myself. He has immunity from the Cig hire. But not firing Woodson last year, and missing on someone like May because of it, and then not being able to sell someone better than Brownell on the job… real world, you get fired for mistakes and performances THAT bad. And I don’t care if the choice last year wasn’t his. Be a damn leader, stake your job on it. And then if you fail to do that, you better sack up and get someone better than Brownell.
How? Portal opens well before that.
If he waits until after Crown, and then announces Brownell… he does deserve to be fired. And I’m normally not that emotional on these sorts of things.
