Maybe someone overpaid, maybe not. Lubbock to College Station is somewhat close so whatever. Good for them.
From rumors, he was probably asking for more than we thought he was worth.
Some of IUs best teams were anchored by a great Center--Benson 6-11,Downing 6-8,Garrett 6-10,Jeffries 6-11,Leach 6-11,White 6-9,Zeller 6-11,Tobert 6-9,and the old guard--Bellamy andSchlundt. I don't count Blab cause weren't great with him. Even Patterson,Turner and Henderson played some center. I hope this unit can do it without a true five. IU has plenty of seniors but I hope the guys they got can anchor that middle.

Which, IMHO, helped forge him into a really good PF as a SR. That (the season on the brink yr where he was the C), really made him tough.
According to Knight it closed up his vaginal orifice. Or maybe as RMK was reported to have told him.
