Expectations for this team

The Donovan nonsense always gets me.

Donovan said no to Kentucky when he was at Florida but more importantly....

THERE. HAS. NEVER. BEEN. A. CURRENT. NBA. COACH. LEAVE. HIS. NBA. POSITION. FOR. A. COLLEGE. POSITION.

I couldn't find one.

Pitino, Calipari, Montgomery, Pitino again, Belsbjeckz (whatever his name is), McCloud were all fired and out of jobs first....then they went back to college

Frikken Fred Hoiberg was known as the mayor of Iowa State, grew up there, married his wife there, became the head coach at his alma mater, was a great success story.....and LEFT IT for the Chicago Bulls.

Billy Donovan is not coming back to coach college until he has no other choice to. For anyone.

But IU is small time because they can't make it happen.

Delusional

Rick Pitino also left the NBA and went directly back into coaching college.

Currently.

We’re only missing Race (who showed at the beginning of the year he’s not good enough to play much) and Hunter who is a freshman unknown. Neither are major factors.

Besides that everyone is back and healthy.

Race showed he's "not ready to play much"? 1 game, 4 minutes - and you've pre-determined his value? How about his value to the team for practices - you know, that thing basketball teams do to get better?

Hunter had just won the Gold Jersey when he went down with his leg injury. Let hear from Archie:

When asked why Hunter was able to take possession of the gold jersey, Miller said that Hunter “made a lot of shots,” “scored the ball” and had a “great week of practice.”

Fully healthy . . . . lol

I don’t think Coaching is our problem. I think healthy players or lack of healthy players are impacting where we are. If we get healthy enough we can make a little noise in B1G tournament. I just hope we win enough to make the dance.

Pitino was already fired at both the Knicks and Celtics though.

The Knicks he was a lame duck coach the last month or so, already told they were moving in another direction.

Boston he was simply fired.

Really?

Just what “Elite” coach not at Duke, UNC or Kansas do you speak of - one with ambient coaching talent we should have made a $7-$8 million (or more, to show we’re serious  ) offer to?
How about Tony Bennett and his $3 mil salary? Or at least get the better of the two Miller bros.

These excuses are literally identical to the ones on here during Crean’s first 3 years. Basically word for word. From a lot of the same people. It’s like deja vu

If Tony Bennett had any interest in the IU job, he'd already be here. Think the way his sister was forced out has been forgotten? And Sean? Archie has been as far in the tournament as he has - so what would you be getting better?

Any other "elite" guys? (I can hardly wait . . . )

Bennett wouldn’t turn down double his pay. It’s simple...money talks. Coaches prove it over and over again.
