The rankings I use here may be 1 or even 2 off on their official rankings because they may include a kid or two in their grading system that doesn't qualify for their official top 100 rankings.

Big picture IU talk...

Morgan #120
OG #222

#23 Thomas Bryant, could that mean Mr. Crean has a shot to get a burger boy to Indiana an unprecedented five years in a row? Lets scope the competition real quick...

UK committs: #3 6'10 Skal
Labissiere, #13 PG Isiah Briscoe, #43 SG Charles Matthews They are after several others in addition to
Bryant. #2 Jaylen Brown, #4 Malik Newman, #6 Ivan Rabb, #8 Caleb Swanigan (a UK lock
imo), #10 Zimmerman (prob out west), #11 Cheik Diallo, #12 Brandon Ingram, in
addition to #23 Thomas Bryant the lowest remaining man on their recruiting totem pole this year. Your guess is as good as mine as to how many they will take and who will leave. I'm assuming Towns leaves, I'm assuming WCS leaves. I expect Trey Lyles to leave. The rest should stay imo but who knows what they will decide many of these guys will get a late first, early second round grade. Ullis, Booker, Harrison, Harrison, Poythress, Lee, Hawkins, Johnson and Willis would leave room for 4. How badly will they want Bryant? If Johnson, Willis, Poythress, and Lee come back he'll be looking at a lot of competition for minutes at the 4/5 not even considering Labissiere and whomever else they land. FWIW, as of today NBAdraft.net has Towns #6, Lyles #8, WCS #15, and the next highest UK player is #43 Dakari Johnson.

Syracuse: #20 Malachai Richardson WF, #65 Tyler Lydon 6'8 PF, #56 Mustaffa Diagne 6'9 PF, #92 Franklin Howard CG They are still pursuing #11 Chiek Diallo 6'9 PF and Bryant and a few others. By my count they lose 2 scholarship seniors but I'm not aware of how much internal movement they can handle to make ends meet. Syracuse is expecting to lose scholarships from the NCAA and already has
2 top 50 power forwards in this class I'm not sure they will even be in
the mix after that comes down, perhaps by their own choice. By my count, there are 9 solid scholarship returnees (Cooney, Joseph, McCullough, BJ Johnson, Patterson, Coleman, Gbinije, Roberson, Obokoh) and a 4 man class so far. Once again FWIW NBAdraf.net doesn't have any of their players in rounds 1 or 2 this year (Troy Williams comes in at 25 as of today btw).

Some Former IU Targets:

10 Stephen Zimmerman
16 Alonzo Trier
20 Malachai Richardson
22 Carlton Bragg
26 PJ Dozier
28 Derrick Jones
42 Prince Ali
44 Donovan Mitchell
59 Noah Dickerson
68 Matthew McQuaid
69 Doral Moore
73 Jimmy Whitt
75 Shake Milton
82 Kenny Williams
84 Terrance Mann
92 Franklin Howard
117 Matt Heldt
122 Bryant Crawford
123 Alex Illikanian
130 Marcus Lovett Jr Chicago Hype Machine
142 Jarred Reuter
179 Evan Boudreaux
186 Austin Conway

Underrated Kids IMO:

42 Prince Ali
44 Donovan Mitchell
53 Chris Clarke
55 Ray Spalding
73 Jimmy Witt
82 Kenny Williams
179 Evan Boudreaux
255 Luke Knapke
325 Admiral Schofield
327 Aric Holman (keep an eye on this one he's 6'9 skinnier athlete unsigned and IU and UL have scouted him a few times)

Indiana high school kid rankings:

Swanigan at 8,
Coleman at 32,
Davon Dillard 114
Ryan Fazekus 118,
Hyron Edwards 132
Ryan Cline 137
Tajhai Teague 154
KJ Walton 188
Matt Holba 204
Jeol Okafor 246
Derrik Smits 254,
Josh Spiedel 158
Nick Rogers 254,
Grant Weatherford 257

They
don't have ratings at all for the rest of the in-state kids in that class. Just my opinion, but I
think there are a couple of good players left out that we will hear from a lot in college. Maybe
not an Eron Harris or DJ Ballantine type of thing but not far out. I
think UE scored with Harris Brown from Howe for example. Butler snagged Sean McDermott who is another I like.
