EJ Williams returning….

This staff is okay with some instances of entering the portal/returning and decommitting/recommitting (Baldwin). I've got no opinion on it, just interesting to see. I'm guessing the situations behind the scenes aren't as black and white as it may appear to outsiders.

strange to leave the team in the middle of the season and then come back the following year

Leaving in the middle of the season seems strange. I remember when Don Noort did not return for the 1975-76 basketball season and missed out on being a part of our championship season.

He had surgery and said he was told at the time he wouldn't be welcome back for next year if he redshirted for it.

He didn't walk away for no reason or just because of PT/money or whatever.

Good depth piece at the 3rd or 4th WR if he can stay healthy. With Sarratt and Cooper back, EJ should get a good shot to be in the rotation. Hopefully can show some of that 5* talent he had coming out of HS.

Strange. But ok.
I agree, but I think there are conversations that were not revealed ( and not our need to know anyway).
The article said he was told by staff “he was not welcomed back”. Do coaches sort of “fire” players they don’t want? What happens to their NIL money? What if the player does not want to leave?

That was actually written in an article? I would like to see that one. Can you remember where it was printed?
