I figured Rice would figure in higher than Carlyle.

Pretty sure they view Carlyle as having a higher ceiling(more star potential). If he gets going he can put up points in a hurry,and showed it at times as a freshmen.

One thing with Rice is last season was his first back from cancer. He had chemo and other tough treatments on the body. We’ll never know, but I do wonder how long it really takes to get back to 100% (rust from not playing, strength, endurance). Playing high level D1, even going from 95% to 100% will make a difference.

He may have been 100% last year, but if he wasn’t, he could have some more upside this year.

Regardless, we need multi-year guys so if he is around a few years that’s great.
