It’s about the time of the year to start over-analyzing these types of comments and looking for tea leaves đŸ˜‚

Cool story bro. But why? Can you give any reason why? Or is it more of a feeling thing?
He reminds me of Crean.
He hasn’t been a head coach long enough for me either. Must have coached over 10-12 years in a head role at some collegiate capacity to make my list. He had one flash in the pan season at FAU, honestly.

Finally, his personality just irks me. Sounds like Mickey Mouse in his post game pressers. I want someone a bit more tough around the edges. A bit more grizzled.

An awful lot of people on here are ready to hand him the job just because he's an IU guy. Not good enough for me.

The next guy in here should never have sat on the IU bench. No association with the university. I’m good with Beard though because he’s from Texas and has only one tie to our school…..and that is learning from the best. So, it’s an indirect and very loose tie.

I don’t want the bespectacled mini-Crean at UM and have to listen to him for 5 years either.

"A bit more grizzled". I wonder what level of grizzle Dolson is looking for? Ffs.

There are certainly candidates with better resumes and ones I prefer much more but you take out the ones with personal blemishes that are unacceptable to many others and the ones that certainly wouldn’t move from current job and May looks like the type of candidate that fits the IU profile. I hope not but preparing myself just in case.

Zero part of why I think he is a good fit. It's been proven that being an IU guy is not important.

I think Midwest connections are important, not just landing kids from Indiana. It's recruiting really good players is vitol and occasionally there are really good players within a couple hours of Assembly Hall.

No one is going to hand him the job. Being an IU guy is a factor in that he understands the passion here. More importantly he is an Indiana high school player who understands the love of basketball in young boys and girls as well as old men and women in the state. I like the defensive intensity of his squad and the intelligence they display, their teamwork and passing, solid fundamentals, good offensive movement. Plus he would dominate recruiting in the state due to his roots and probably the surrounding states. Wherever he ends up I think he will win at a very high level. I think it’s a coin toss between May and Beard.

You can go put your dunce cap back on and go sit back in the corner and stare at the wall for a while. That is your command.

You sat on here for at least two years along with chaser and all these other Woody apologists telling the rest of us we were out of touch and could not see how good that Bigfoot was. You chastised and mocked anyone who dared to critique Woodson.

Well….times up! Time to just zip it and stay on the sidelines along with Quinn, Ferguson and the other clown patrol!

Oh so it’s more of a personal problem then, not a real basketball issue other than a final 4 and having Michigan, in year 1, competing for a big ten title. Copy that.

More grizzled, like Brad Stevens or Chris Beard? Honestly curious because either one of those would be fine with me.

What voice would be right for you?

Listen dipshits, he’s 10-2 at Michigan. Went up 18 on us at home.

He’s 48 yrs old.

Been to a final four with nobody.

He could actually win the big ten in his first year replacing a Trainwreck jawaun Howard squad.

Raised 20 miles from btown.

The Crean references are beyond short cut to thinking.

Like if IU fans needed an audition he’s passed with flying colors.

You know….he isn’t my first choice but could probably live with it. Anything is better than this shitshow.
May will give you some great wins mixed in with some terrible losses along the ride.

Coin flip. Who cares at this point?
When does football start? The sport that drives all of collegiate $$$$ decisions these days.

Stevens and May……only two options…Stevens would take Cuban to close the deal…
Look what May has done year one!!!

When they were up 16, what's your impression of their offense in the second half? Were they playing the old Mike Brey, Notre Dame "Burn" offense? IU's always stellar defense forced them into two shot clock violations and another three last second heaves.

Purdue kicked their skulls in as badly as any of IU's worst efforts this year. If you ever care to, take a look at that last play they ran from last year's NCAA Tournament.

I'm sure he's an upgrade from what we have now. I'll certainly pull for him to do well if hired. I'm just not altogether sold.

Lame. Cop out lame. You basically admitted you’re a casual fan, more concerned with looks and sounds. Pitiful. We’re in the cusps of a new basketball hire, that we’ve all been dreaming of for the past 3 years and you respond with a ‘WGAF’ when does football start.

Newsflash, nobody cares what you can live with. We’re more concerned with an informed opinion of what would actually make Indiana basketball better.

Hence… posting on the Indiana basketball board.

Typical comment. He can’t say no. They will give him a new contract or he leaves if offered.
