Why are we not talking about the guy that has us in this position? Maybe our coaches aren't up to par but maybe it is the guy that has names the last 4 coaches that is the problem.

Okay my bad...but leads to a bigger issue. I was a die hard... graduated in 01.... program is so in the whole that I can no longer take the time to care when I am drinkingThis will be Dolson’s first basketball hire. Woodson was hired by Quinn Buckner.

Kurt?I am a 25 year lueker year....unless I am drinking on a Friday night...then I long for the olden days and post....ignore and carry on young bick....that seems to be working
👆👆👆👆Dolson hasn’t been our AD for 24 years. But to your point, Woody was a terrible choice. In my opinion, Dolson anticipated Woody would face challenges, which is why he brought in Fife and Matta as part of the hire. Still, he should have known better.
Listening to everyone’s coaching wishlist makes me question how realistic the options are. Last year, two fellow blue-blood programs, Kentucky and Louisville, ended up hiring mid-major coaches after seemingly missing out on more established candidates. IU has also struck out in its last several coaching searches. Yet, fans remain optimistic that top-tier coaches are eager to come here. It makes me wonder how many of these coaches will feign interest in the IU job just to leverage our interest into a pay raise at their current school.

I actually emailed Dolson at the beginning of the season when I knew things were going south. Like some I suggested he go the Cignetti route again for the next basketball coach. At that time I brought up Derrick Clark’s name. A Muncie Indiana guy that is an assistant at Loyola Marymount. He was a Division II head coach at Metro State University in Denver with a 173-50 record. But after further research, he has been arrested for a couple DUI’s. Assuming that’s why he is no longer a head coach. Once again, great coaches out there that have had a human hiccup.I think you should call, and then possibly email, Scott Dolson immediately. Did SD have a choice?
Or was he trying to mitigate what he thought was a questionable hire with Fife and Matta?
Just because you lost the first skirmish doesn’t mean you lost the battle but it does mean you better get it right now.If Dolson didn’t fully support the Woody hire, he should have resigned. We tend to give Dolson the benefit of the doubt quite often.
Why would they use a search firm.Has IU stated whether or not they will use a search firm?

Thanks, I can sleep better tonight knowing you are fine with Dolson serving as the AD. Your opinion carries a lot of weight.I’m fine with Dolson serving as the AD. With his successful hiring of Cignetti, I hope he now has enough credibility and influence to make decisions independently. However, I question the sentiment among some fans that Dolson deserves all the credit for the Cignetti hire but little to no blame for the Woody hire.

MIGAGlad I could solve your little sleep crisis. Maybe if you spent less time obsessing over strangers’ opinions, you wouldn’t need my input to function. Don’t worry, though, I’ll keep my hot takes coming. Sleep tight, champ.
Is that like a pet name for Luke Recker?Lueker
