I think I've identified where Morgan's free throw mechanics went haywire...

Juwan hit 24 of 30 for 80% as a frosh.

Then, he knocked down 42 of his first 51 tries for 82% as a soph.

Then, he injured his foot at Rutgers and had to sit out the next two games.

He returned for the 90-60 loss at Michigan and hit just 23 of 39 FT's the rest of the season for 59%, and has hit just 120 of 197 ever since for 61%.

I'm thinking that maybe Morgan made a slight adjustment to accommodate some lingering pain from his foot injury and it became a habit.

If Juwan can just think back to his foot injury and hit the undo button on whatever adjustment he made, we can hang some banners up in this joint!

No need to go overboard thanking me Arch... just send me a championship ring and we'll be square!

I'd ask for lifetime tickets to game. Make sure you get great seats.

Assuming this analysis is true...and I haven't time to do primary research...then:

When the board is good...it's very good.

Not sure about this. His shot doesn't seem to be off by a foot.

I'm taking a play out of the Dumbo playbook and will be sending Archie a Magic Feather this Christmas that, when placed in your shoe, prevents you from ever missing a clutch free throw!

Love this post, however it is in his head only. Not sure why/how, but he will have to figure it out himself.....Hard to argue with your post though!
Some players really need defense to focus on a shot. Maybe we can have our own players heckle him at the line.

Trying to steal my Championship Ring and Lifetime Season Tickets award, huh? Oh well, as long as we all do our part.

Bill James called and wanted to know if you want a job.

It makes as much sense as anything else. Maybe he stopped lifting his heel as much while hurt and it threw his shot off slightly? I would think over time he would have found a way to adjust, but who knows?

Troy Williams used to twist his upper body to the left on a jump shot. You could see him compensate the movement with a movement of his wrist and fingers to the right. When I saw him in the NBA, I noticed his upper body was not twisting and he could actually make an NBA 3 point shot. If I had called, Troy might have become a big time scorer and helped save Crean's job!

haven't been there in a long time but so many bad seats
Yeah, I meant it more in the spiritual sense than the literal. I've sat all over that place and it always gave me goosebumps no matter how good the seats, but I'm a bit of a soft touch too.
