Does IU go after John Groce?

Personally, I like John Groce and Travis Steele.
Not sure what to think about their overall coaching accomplishments. But good people.
Both would have been better than Woody.

Dakich was always high on Groce and obviously he didn't do well at Illinois. Would IU consider him if he had only coached in the MAC? Maybe. He has a decent resume otherwise. The MAC is often a one bid conference though.

Once the momentum from Self’s time wore off…

In Tubby’s first 8 years at UK he had a national title (arguably with Pitino’s players, but still coached them), three elite eights, two sweet 16s and 5 SEC titles with 4 conference tourney titles. Hasn’t done shit anywhere else since. Sometimes the program itself has a lot to do with it.
