I didn’t want to say anything because it could’ve been hearsay, but I actually heard a couple weeks ago DeVonte and Romeo got into a fight after the Michigan game.

But there have been good teams that had fights in the locker room. Olajuwon slapping the s$&t out of Vernon Maxwell comes to mind. Arenas and Crittenton pulling guns on each other in the locker is over the top. If it resolves some conflict or establishes the right dominance then can be positive but if nothing resolved and left to fester then very bad.

Not big on rumors, but looking back on the season, I could see that. Green likes flashy and his flashy just doesn't shine. Usually ended up in turnovers/loss and Dakich ripping him for it. Two freshman come in with all the media hype and then one takes his starting job. It wasn't hard to see that Indiana had internal issues.

Alford’s freshman year there was clearly conflict between Indiana’s MR Basketball and Marty Simmons (Illinois Mr Basketball). Knight handled it well and Alford established dominance. The team overachieved until Dakich Gave up a steal and UVA beat IU in the tourney final 8.

It is pretty normal to have to iron things out at the start of a new regime. We had Crean leftovers, Crean's sub par last recruiting class, a bunch of freshman, and a grad transfer. It shouldn't be too hard in the future to not lose 12 of 13: if IU wins half of those, they are in NCAA's.

Where are you all seeing these rumors? I know of one that I have posted before but was told I had the wrong people involved.

There is a private text that was shared on Reddit that had all kinds of crazy stuff.

The jist was that someone needed to learn the term bros before hos (Green was actually sticking up for his bro a little too aggressively and got suspended) and that combination basically destroyed the locker room.

It's a nice theory but who knows if it's true.

It did say 4 people will be leaving (DG, JS, DA and CM) and we've already had one of the 4.

Again it's the internet and anyone can say anything so for me I'm curious if those 4 predicted leave.

I would rather have details than "reports of incidents". Like specifics.

Here is what I heard from what I consider to be a highly reliable source - same guy who told me of all the issues under Crean and sent the pic of the Devin Davis accident scene:

• Green, Smith & Anderson all likely to transfer.
• Green decked Romeo in practice after finding out he was messing around with another players girlfriend. Green subsequently suspended (not for reefer, as had been rumored).
• Brunk is heavily leaning towards IU. Not a feepaw “100% guarantee“ but likely to commit soon.
• Staff is making efforts to get Watford to take a look here. Personally thought this ship had sailed (and still might not happen) but appears the effort is being made. Trying to get Kira Lewis, also; some speculation he might get immediate eligibility because of the coaching change at Bama.

Heard various versions of the Romeo / Devonte incident (whose girlfriend it was). Pretty clear that locker room had issues .

The funny thing about this question is that there are several people in this cute little village of Internet idiots that actually think it is up to them. Like if they go on the Rivals board and post the same stupid shit 200 more times today, maybe someone who actually matters will care what they think.

When you lose 12 of 13 in a stretch, everyone shares blame IMO.

I think losing 12 of 13 ended Miller's honeymoon, and it was certainly a swing and a miss this year. I don't think IU fans have a lot of patience since we kept Crean too long, and understandably so. However, Archie isn't Crean. I'm hoping this year was just a weird transition year. I think Archie should get 1-2 more years to put forth a consistent winning product. There are clear things to improve, and we will see if that happens.

Honestly, getting back to the NCAA Tourney shouldn't be that hard. IU was 1-2 wins away from meeting the bare minimum to get in this year.
