I went to the last Olympic scrimmage before Barkley was cut. I thought he had a good scrimmage but was showboating a bit. The next day Knight cut him. But every time i have heard Barkley speak about Knight he has shown nothing but proper respect.

I was there too. I thought that Barkley and Stockton were 2 of the best players there,and neither made the team.

I thought Barkley looked the best in the scrimmage but one play always stands out. Barkley was maybe 15’ from the basket on the baseline on like a breakaway. He got a long pass and just stood there with the ball. He waited until someone came to guard him and then buried a shot over the guy. I thought to myself at that time Knight probably didnt like it.

As for Stockton there was no doubt Knight wanted Alford. That was why Alford had a sophomore slump i think because he was worn out after the olympics.

I went to all the open sessions (including the big game in indy) and hugely enjooyed them. Knight really provided a lot of good basketball memories for me.

Duke does play a mean man to man defense. The way 3 pt shooters are developing i cant imagine the pack line will last. Too easy to get a good 3 pt look. If someone jumps out still can sidestep and get a good look.

So much for all the “basketball schools” advancing. We have Texas Tech and Auburn in.....where football is king. This basketball thing appears to be fairly easy if you have an administration that values both sports.

Something our university never figured out and nothing to hang out hat on. We stink at both.

Can't believe how much pUKe attire I saw up here in Wiskyburg today. Arrived home to watch the OT. Harper was THE MAN against all those One and Done's from everywhere EXCEPT Keeeeennnnnnnnnnnnntucky.
