Democrat Hate and Violence Must Stop

You still are not proving that democrats are socialists. It’s like me linking a bunch of white nationalists violence articles and saying that republican violence is running rampant. White nationalists are a fringe group of the right and violent socialists a fringe group of the left.

But https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/16/us/trump-rally-violence.amp.html
If you could provide some examples of Democratic violence, I'd be happy to condemn it. But you can't. All you can provide are examples of strange right-wing masochism porn.
Mo thinks he’s owning the libs, when instead he’s making a fool of himself — an oblivious failing that’s common to Trump supporters.

Nah, shooting people is not violent.
Well, I don't know if that crazy nut was a Democrat, but he was definitely anti-Republican. And I'll happily denounce his violent attack, just as I did when it happened, and just as every Democrat on this forum did when it happened. Since we already denounced that attack, your original point is still bullshit.

Try again.

The ability of Republicans to quickly align on, embrace, rally around and incessantly shout inane and non-sensical buzz words as though they were deep truths is equal parts fascinating and disturbing.
Who DOESN'T have one of these on their wall?

I can’t believe you guys are just seeing this now. It’s owned Twitter all day.

The best part of that pic is how svelte they make Trump look - like he’s not the fattest non-drinker alive.
I loved the interview with the artist. He sounded like a third-grader trying to explain why his crayon picture shows two people holding hands who just happen to look kind of like him and the girl who sits three desks to the left.

"So who are the Proud Boys and their banned-from-Twitter leader? Created by McInnes, a “provocateur” and one of the original co-founders of Vice Media, who has described himself as “an old punk from Canada”and turned right in 2008 (the same year he left Vice over “creative differences”), the Proud Boys are a strange amalgamation of a men’s rights organization, a fight club and what some may see as a hate group — one that loves Donald Trump, hates Muslims (and Jews and trans people), but permits nonwhite membership.

The group has a magazine where members who win fights are celebrated with the slogan, “They ****ed around. They found out.” And in the age of concerns about “civility” and worries about political violence surrounding the upcoming midterms, the Proud Boys — and McInnes, who believes violence is “a really effective way to solve problems” — are more interested in punching “******s.”

As Jared Holt at Right Wing Watch told me, “The Proud Boys have been the right wing’s enforcers in the streets against those who dissent against them.”

From Vice Media to “cuckmercials”
In 1994, McInnes, alongside Shane Smith and Suroosh Alvi, launched Voice of Montreal, which later became Vice Media. McInnes was already the voice of a particular strain of right-wingerdomwithin the company, telling the New York Times, ‘’I love being white and I think it’s something to be very proud of.”

These are the people fighting with Antifa on the streets. And they are as much anti-Semitic as they are anti-Islamist. David Duke is a fan...

"His shift to the far right also included espousing anti-Muslim sentiments (“the Muslim world is filled with shoeless, toothless, inbred, hill-dwelling, rifle-toting, sodomy-prone men”) and an embrace of anti-Semitismand anti-Israel sentiments, including a video he made for the far-right Canadian outlet Rebel Media initially called “10 Things I Hate about Jews” (or as he would later tweet, “10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT THE GODDAMN MOTHER****ING JEWS!”). He’s also argued that historically, perhaps Jews “were ostracized for a good reason.”

These videos, and some of his others, earned him a host of new fans, including David Duke. And though McInnes has attempted to push aside accusations of racism (which he argues doesn’t exist), he has written for both VDare and American Renaissance, the latter the publication of the “race-realist, white advocacy organization” New Century Foundation.

Just showing a trend which I’m sure you can appreciate. Watch your language or I’m reporting you again.

Mo- a piece of advice. If you want people to take your assertions seriously, don’t pull and post links to all the far right wing media circles. They’ve obviously got a massive political agenda, and they are amping up “the base” to increase readership- and revenue. They’re manipulating the truth to make more $$$, in other words. They’ve got little to no journalistic integrity, and they simply start with a feeling, and find a way to back up their feeling.

Anyone with internet access and an opinion now knows that we live in a post truth world- and that is very easy to manipulate people by riling them up. And that is done primarily by taking something and distorting it, and making it seem like a much bigger threat than it actually is.

It’s pretty much the opposite of what’s taught at the Ernie Pyle School of journalism at good ‘ole IUB. You may not like outlets like the NYT, but they’re playing with a different, much more restrictive, set of rules when they publish something. Humans aren’t perfect, so they’re inevitably going to get it wrong. But when they do, their rules dictate that they own up to the mistake, and correct it. If they don’t, they won’t be employed for long- their reputation is really the only thing they have. Once that’s tarnished, they’re done.

In that words, I’d encourage you to think about what you’re reading, and why the material is presented the way it is. Opinion pieces are kind of like masturbation- sure it feels good, it’s easy, but it’s never as good as intercourse (objective truth).

Even though I may find it painful at times, I purposefully read right leaning stuff and tune in to Fox News at times. Because I search for the truth- not just stuff that affirms my personal confirmation bias.

Just my .02.

Side note- I find it funny that somehow the tea party movement was OK, but a few outliers from the left aren’t OK. I think many conveniently forget just how hostile those crowds were at the time. And I didn’t see a lot of condemnation of that stuff at the time from the right.

I think you’ll find that all the “lefties” on this board have repeatedly condemned ANY violence from ANY of the protests from the left these days. It’s true that people are fired up- but the vast majority (all but a handful) of them are protesting peacefully. As it should be.

Lol. Democrats must cringe with Jackson in that.
I'll admit that all the paintings are eye-catching and draw you in. But they're definitely weird and preposterous.

The grinning Jackson is probably my favorite in this Democratic one. What shared comical anecdote would they all possibly relate to? Is AJ grinning about some recounting of a cat video? Or maybe they're all laughing about how their wives have the same bad habits.

Apart from svelte Trump, I was oddly struck by Teddy Roosevelt in the other painting. I have a hard time putting my finger on it, but he doesn't look like a rugged outdoorsman, he looks like ... I dunno ... a mid-level sales manager regaling his fellow Presidents on his goofy wizard halloween costume.

I knew you’d say that. I tried.

What exactly was BS? Pointing out that the links thar you have posted make people immediately dismiss your point? Even if you had a good point, using those sources poisons the message. Do you really think those sources have the integrity of traditional news outlets?

Is that the BS part?

You’re too far down the right wing media rabbit hole. You reject anything that doesn’t for nearly with what you want to see.

Why do you even come on this board? It’s pretty clear it’s iust an outlet to unload on “the left” for you. Don’t you have the civil discourse board over at Peegs for that purpose? Or, do you somehow take some pleasure in “owning the libs”? I have yet to see an actual attempt at debtate and honest discourse. All I’ve seen is flame throwing and talking points.

You provided a damn link to the daily stormer recently- that’s a nutty as it gets. Also as racist as it gets. Don’t know if you realize that or not.

Just trying to look out for a brother.

I saw this on the David Pakman show, which I like because he's a very level headed progressive, IMHO.
The "Proud Boys", who by the way are a TOTALLY weird group, beat up a few people who they assumed were liberals. "Proud Boys" aren't allowed to masturbate or watch porn because they say it takes away their interest in going out and meeting women (yeah!). Okay, that's weird. Anyway, data shows, overwhelmingly (as Marvin has posted) that right wingers are responsible for, BY FAR, the majority of politically inspired violence. What's amazing about this video is after the Proud Boys gave random people a beat down, Fox News COMPLETELY turned it around and said it was Antifa. It's freaking nuts. This is where MO gets his ridiculous information.
