I’m sure they have better players , or they have Miller’s players , or they never have injuries, they’re not in a “serious rebuild”, etc. Ironic they’re ranked and we’re not.

That’s just about the intelligence it takes to think IU hoops is back and CAM will turn it around. Strange that dildo is on your mind on a basketball forum. Hmm, possibly your hobby.

I've caught portions of a couple of their games, and they have good players and one really outstanding one who is projected to be a very high lottery pick next year and better than any player we have right now, so I don't think it's out of the question to think they do have a better roster right now. Still, if we get RP back and keep everyone healthy, that would actually be a great matchup in the tournament. We need RP back... regardless of who we try and plug in there, we don't have another PG on our roster right now, not to mention he's our best perimeter defender.

Why post this if you really are an IU fan?

Answer: Because you are not an IU fan.

So please leave, troll.

Placed on ignore. Good riddance.

Dumb.

So settling for mediocre BS for 20 years makes you a fan? Actually, it makes you naive.
Not that long. Final Four in 2005 and NCAA appearance in 2006.
High level recruits nationwide started backing off after that.

Dayton is better than IU, Purdue, ND.
Did Archie actually move up, or just cash a bigger paycheck?

You're a 12-year-old girl. Prove me wrong.

I see “KY” in the screen name, and I just for the life of me, cannot take this person as an Indiana fan. Run along troll. You’ll be more disliked than me. Lol.

I’m from Indiana slick and now live in KY. I actually remember when IU was worthy of fear and respect, unlike current state of program.

zzzzzzz

the current state of the program is 8-1 with a road loss at wisconsin. but sure, it's this team's fault IU is irrelevant. lololol

Keep llollling. We had a SOS of 342nd in country prior to FL St. It is VERY ironic that Dayton is ranked and we are not. It actually shows how ridiculously bad Archie's first three years have been so far....and I like Archie. But all the excuses the sunshine and rainbows crowd use are just that...excuses. How is dayton ranked and we're not? How is Louisville ranked #1 this year ESPECIALLY after all that went down 2-3 years ago. How is OSU (a football school mind you) kick ass and taking names? Meanwhile poor little IU just keeps whining and moaning about getting "Archie's players" in there...so far Archie has proven to be a below average Big Ten coach...and we have a below average team in terms of talent. Nothing else to say

I hope our saving grace is getting guys who actually know how to play basketball...it's amazing that has been such a foreign concept at IU the last 20 years. Somehow the Wisconsins, Iowas, Michigan states, and michigans of the world do it routinely year end and year out.

Finally someone with some sense. Can’t believe how low our expectations have become. Some people will just keep defending for another 7-9 year run with no results. People have blinders on. 8-1 doesn’t count when you’ve only played 2 “real” games and got destroyed by a sub par Wisconsin team. Just a bunch of excuses.

huh? ridiculously bad three years? i count one as this year is kind of fresh (and we are 8-1 with a good win and a bad loss on the road....that's it. lol) and only idiots thought year one was going to be a classic underdog story. plenty of OSU and Louisville jerseys available if you are done with it all.

again, we'll see about Archie. what we do know is that 10% of our fanbase is completely brain dead.

this is dumb. we're defending our right to watch the rest of the season play out without having to step in your turds all day long. no one was cool with getting hammered at Wisconsin. all the townsfolk will be with you guys if we do that a few more times.

okay, back to your weird battle hymns. lol.

I have it closer to 30%.

The Wisconsin Game sucked. Wasn't that IU lost so much as how they lost. Worse than disappointing, not much in the way of accolades for effort, toughness, etc. All that said, the Team and the Season remain a work in progress - dismissing the Coach, Staff, Department, Program and Team because of the Madison outcome as a lost cause, dumpster fire, exercise in futility or what have you and/or insisting that nothing has essentially improved or changed from years past is premature at best and ignorant at worst.

Almost none of these ardent critics were anywhere to be seen around here until IU bombed at Kohl, not even after the FSU Game, only showed up afterwards to whine and wail. Fine, their right and privilege to do so, but laying in wait for a gothcha moment to trash the 2019-20 Hoosiers hardly seems much of a character reference or testament to Hoops acumen.

This Season/Team is just that. Not inclined or interested in putting a torch to it because it's imperfect ('twas ever thus, '76 perhaps excepted )or seeing it offered as proof that IU Basketball is nothing more than train-wreck. Let them play - plenty of time come April for character assassination, criminal indictments and open revolt.

My Team is on the Floor, and tonight, that happens to be frigging Madison Square Garden. I'll take it. Go IU!

Whaaa..my team is on the floor tonight...wahhh. Quit saying bad things about my team. We’re #1

Pretty much sums up your contributions here.
Speaking of ridiculous contributions . . .

Archie could employ some rather ruthless hair-trigger substitution this Season as a teaching/incentivizing mechanism given the depth.

Having DD in the mix allows more latitude for Juwan, Justin and Evan to play to their strengths outside the box.

Still questions around perimeter play - encouraged that Devonte and Aljami received acclaim for their off-Season dedication and improvement, zero complaints about Langford and Phinisee rounding out the backcourt.

Zach remains an enigma. Imagine him as a glue guy a la Hartman before his last injury.

Team could be a defensive nightmare for opponents. Quick, long, very athletic and intensely competitive as a result of fighting for every minute of floor-time in practice. That's not to trivialize any potential offensive prowess, just imagine this could be the stingiest IU defense anyone's seen in a long time.

When has IU ever had a group like Race, Jerome, Damezi, Clifton and Jake available off the bench? Not to say someone doesn't move into the starting rotation, but are you shitting me?

I believe this Team can/will take down Duke in Cameron. (Devils have basically zero returning starters/offense -15 pts. per game - and five-star freshmen tend to still play like freshmen, especially early in the Season.) Can't really speak to the rest of the Conference but think there's a really good chance IU goes undefeated at Home.

Jaeger, Taylor and Blackmon. The fact that these guys could be starting and playing at other NCAA schools but are instead at IU marks them as the heart and soul of IU Basketball. If it was my call they (and Zack) would represent IU at B10 Media Day tomorrow.
