Dave Chappelle

Amazingly he’s the most popular amongst the younger crowd. I guess not being able to afford a home, student loan debt up the ass, the potential of WW3 and draft, etc puts things in perspective and makes things like abortions and pronouns less important.

Interesting chart.
So the likelihood of being duped by politicians is inversely related to age?

It’s the older people being duped. My in laws are in their 70s and don’t do much but sit around and watch CNN all day. They believe all the hoaxes…the “fine people” hoax, the “drink bleach” hoax, the “bloodbath” hoax, etc. There is no saving these people.

The younger people are much more likely to get their from X and various podcasts and are therefore, much better informed.

ROTFLMAO! I know it was unintentional, but that’s the most hilarious thing you’ve ever written. There is absolutely no bigger dupe around than you. Your tiny mind I stuffed with disinformation and lies from the Twitter Twits you follow. You have zero self awareness. 😄

OMG, I’m busting a gut! I just read it again! That’s really funny stuff there! LOL!

Believe me...I've been young. Thought I knew everything. Now that I'm old, and actually do, the ignorance of youth is more apparent in the world than ever.

Your kid doesn't wear crocks when there's snow on the ground like all mine does, does she?

I've told my wife more then once we've got a special kind of stupid on our hands (in a very joking way, of course).
Heh. My son will prance out the door in crocs and no socks and then give me grief for saying something.

He says I’ve got my coat on. What do you want?

SMDH.

There is some truth to this but I don’t know that you can attribute it to Tik-Tok.

Yes you will be much better informed if you listen to Megyn Kelly and Ben Shapiro and read Twitter than if you read WSJ/ NYT and watch cable news. But those are long form podcasts. Not Tik-Toks.

Obviously Twitter isn’t long form, the benefit of Twitter is to be able to quickly access counter- narratives and opposing viewpoints. Something legacy media sorely lacks.

How does that work? This is law. Trump can't just overrule it. Or can he?

I'm not a legal expert, but he supposedly can temporarily allow for access to be restored while they find a buyer. That's his intention, not to keep it up and running, assuming you believe what he says. There have been some offers coming in over the weekend that might make sense.

Is the law that stupid? It won a unanimous decision by SCOTUS.

To me, it is a time/place/manner limit on free speech. I agree the government has the power to limit those. But for me, they need a real compelling reason. I have not heard a credible threat presented by teens sharing crappy videos. It is incumbent on the government to present a threat beyond, "well, it is China."

I have to imagine that Kevin O’Leary has pressed him for this.

It has been banned on government computers and devices for almost two years. We banned it on our organization’s devices almost two years ago too. The risk to data is real.

I have zero problems with banning it from government systems, or corps banning it from their devices. That is not a free speech issue.

Telling a private citizen they cannot use it on their personal device requires more than "it is an abstract threat." How does Mc's daughter using it present a threat?

China spreading misinformation or collecting information used for recruiting future spies?

Misinformation is spread everywhere, here even. They *could* collect info but they can do that everywhere. We need more than a theoretical.

I will mention a real security threat. There are maybe 200 million Win 10 boxes in the world, in October Microsoft stops updating them. They become vulnerable. China, or anyone, can infect them and turn them into a bot army conducting denial of service attacks, or brute force password attacks.

So, can we make using Windows 10 illegal? Can we order ISPs to kick them offline?

As much as I am certain it is a threat, I still find it too theoretical to throw everyone offline.

Stuff it Boomer. These kids don’t know anything about terms. They want their Mr Beast and not be out in the cold when the latest Banger drops!!! They’ll be standing at the ice rink like fools now. Paralyzed!!! In short. THEY’RE COOKED!!!!!
Sorry Murt. Must have been a rough morning for you. These kids are addicted!!!

As I understand it under the law. The president can allow for ONE (and only one) 90 day extension, under the premise that a sale is in process, but needs more time to close. That's pretty dubious since Bytedance has never offered to sell whatsoever. Not that Trump gives a flying shit about following any law.

Remember when MSFT said that Windows 10 would be the last Windows you would ever buy, that it was going to be a true rolling release with continuous updating in perpetuity?

Those were the days.
