Darius Latham suspended indefinitely

Haters going to hate...I love when ignorant people hate...You are telling me you wouldn't love to be in OSU shoes a top of the mountain instead of being at the bottom?...Fact is you would love it if Indiana was where the Bucks are year in year out....If not you are lying.
The team being good shouldn't allow the fans to be asses

As far as Herbstreit goes...why did he move to Nashville from Columbus citing fan harrassment after being critical of the team? Yeah, he may be a fan, but he threw O$U fans like you under the bus along the way.

I swear some IU fans should just become OSU fans if they are so in awe and envious of there position. Move to Ohio and become one of the cult.

Nothing pisses me off more than a guy from Indiana being an OSU fan and having no connection
more than watching on TV. At least subway Notre Dame fans are mostly Catholic.

He stepped out on his wife a couple of times.
Yeah, I'm sure that's it. I cheated on my wife, so I'll not just move, I'll throw my alma mater's fans under the bus to cover up the true reason. That makes sense. *facepalm*. You guys sure are special.

If anyone actually read Joe Buckeye's essays...Google "most NCAA championships" and you will find Ohio State has the 17th most, which is hardly far and away the most of any school. That's pretty poor given the size of their athletic department. In fact they are 4th in the Big 10 behind Penn State, Michigan and Wisconsin and just ahead of "lowly" Indiana. Now he can argue all he wants about what should or should not count, but I will let him argue with official NCAA stats. You can image the pain I face living in Columbus Ohio, which is a giant sized "group think" wonderland.

If it means I would turn into an insufferable jerk who vandalizes opposing stadiums, wears nuts around my neck, and lives vicariously through 19 year olds, then no.

That's very nice. Thanks sir, I'll have another. Don't get to edgy about the game. It is just a game. I also want to THANK YOU very much for using O$U. I never do that, since it is bragginAbsolutely g. I appreciate it though. YES, I have the issue of Sports Illustrated NATIONAL cover (NOT regional) with OSU highlighted as the main article subject about having FAR and away the LARGEST athletic department, largest athletic budget, most national championships in all sports (combined of course--eg-crew, pistol, wrestling, tennis and of course the big ones football and hoops--we have tasted the sweet success of NC's in every college sport! Can you believe that??!!) I had to brag a tad there, but appreciate you doing it for me! I forget over and over to use TO$U. You DID forget the capital "T" for THE O$U. Try to remember that. I love the $ sign you used and I forget it all the time. Also, I have to be somewhat upset Coach Meyer is still behind only Saban in salary. That will change soon. Our FB coordinators are paid more than the average Big 10 head coach and it is necessary to maintain the extremely high level we do. Absolutely a must to never forget the $$$$$. I may change my user name to Buck$!
OSU has nowhere close to the most national titles. They are right around IU. UCLA, USC, and Stanford are in the 100 range.

That is extreme generalization and very opinionated. You know the entire college basketball fan base and football as well. Maybe you could be kind enough to share some more of your knowledge. You must know more than Herbstreit about CFB or any analyst in hoops. I am amazed at how well-rounded you must be! You have obviously traveled to many venues, SEC, Big 10, etc. I could certainly learn from you! I have only been to 10 of our conference stadiums. I did play for coach Hayes and believe I know a bit about CFB. You may be a former All-American or a great former coach though. How do I know? I am not about to debate someone so well-traveled and extremely intelligent about fan bases across the entire nation. You obviously are very confident and feel you couldn't possibly learn anything from anyone else. Wow. Lastly, Herbie is an OSU former player and captain of OSU (don't kid yourself about him not being an OSU fan.) Do you turn the channel EVERY time he is on Gameday or any CFB show?? I hope so, if you are being honest about OSU fans and not caring what they say. You also express you know a lot about O$U fans (I forgot again to proudly use the $ sign) so you must have listened to them an awful lot in the past. Is this a very sudden change in your listening preferences? Lastly, you have listed your personal most disliked fan bases, and for some reason they are the two teams that have dominated your team in both major sports. Could there possibly be something to this??? I also glanced at your all-time record vs Purdue in basketball and was amazed to see they lead in victories. That is shocking but I only remembered you have more NC's than Purdue. You probably know the win/loss summary but I will remind you-Purdue 78 wins & IU 38 wins. I am shocked and had no idea it is that lopsided. Big 10 championships Purdue leads IU-8 to 2. I believe when I glance back at this forum the week of the Purdue football game you may even be more "worked up." Calm down buddy. It is not life or death and you will never ever surpass O$U on football. Don't have a heart attack over this.
Focus on Purdue your true and possibly realistic rival. You have gone too far. I have been fair and not degraded any IU fans. You are setting a "new tone" for what I formerly thought of IU. I will and do realize you do NOT represent the majority of IU fans or even the super fans who take time to post on boards. There are always "those." You even have your "own" members posting to you about being snarky. I will come back after the game and quite possibly be snarky with ya pal.
tosu fans ARE horrible. Last time they came to Bloomington, one of them was in the Hoosier Hundred room and tried to get an oh-io chant started. What a jerk. If you want to come to an opposing stadium and get the chant started in the stands, that's just being a fan. But to do it in a place reserved for the locals...let's just say I'm glad the police escorted him out for everyone's sake.

It would be one thing if there were just a few stories like that but there are lots. Generally speaking, stereotypes exist for a reason.

I moved to Columbus Ohio for a job in 1987. I couldn't stand the people. At grocery stores, malls, parks, roads...they were all snooty jerks. After 6 weeks, I found a job in central Indiana and have found the people to be much more warm and welcoming. Love being a Hoosier!

I always thought we had 24 Men's Natl Championships... Bball 5, CC 3, Outdoor T&F 1, Soccer 8, Swimming 6, and Wrestling 1.

Conversely, OSU has 30.. Baseball 1, Bball 1, Fencing 1, Golf 2, Gymnastics 3, OT&F 1, Swimming 11, Volleyball 1, Wrestling 1.....and then 8 in Football (not sure how many of those are legit....dual polls....declared before a bowl loss....or whatever).

Strong records for both, IMO.

This is correct.

As IU has been down for so long, it's given our fans a means of comparing the fans of the opposition when they come to our stadium. And on that basis, I can personally vouch that tO$U fans have been really bad. When Michigan comes to B-town, their fans are generally gracious and show class, even often complimentary about our team's strengths. tO$U fans on the other hand are dreadful. Exceptions apply obviously, but generally this is what we see.

I also have an old friend who manages restaurants for a prominent wings/beer chain. During his time managing the store close to tO$U campus, he always hated game day because the fans would trash his restaurant and be complete jerks even when they win. He's managed stores in other college towns, including some big time programs, and said there's no comparison.

Also, the worst offenders always seem to be guys in their 40-50s that aren't alumni. Not saying that OSU's students/alumni are all wonderful, just that they are the lesser of evils. Also something that permeates much of SEC country.

I was going to move to Columbus at one time, but after spending a weekend there, I decided to switch jobs instead. Moving there among all the obnoxious SUO fans would have felt like being sentenced to prison.

Exhibit A, entered into evidence . . . .

For the record, I live in Georgia among a host of SEC fans - Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Tennessee, South Carolina predominantly - and ACC fans, with a lot of Clemson, VA Tech, GA Tech and FSU types. When a BiG team plays any of those teams I pull unabashedly for the BiG team, including O$U. I have a huge respect for Urban Meyer and the way he runs his program.

But the fact is, irrespective of how we view the O$U program or the stellar play of the O$U team, O$U fans are universally disliked here as well as BiG states - other than Ohio, of course - for their arrogance, an arrogance I believe is derived from playing in what has been an noncompetitive conference until MSU joined the elite ranks. Here's just a small, quite recent example: I was in O'Hare on Sunday and ran into an O$U fan there, mentioned the game, and he laughed at my wish for a competitive and injury-free game. OK, no skin off me . . . but . . .

You'll have to forgive IU fans for disliking the behavior of O$U fans generally. But that dislike has been well-earned at the hands of a high percentage of O$U fans. Deal with it; we have had to for a long time.

A bit of advice, I would suggest that you look to your coach's example; he might have all the confidence in the world, even arrogance, about his ability to attract and coach great teams, but he's both realistic and classy about his business in his relations with others. He had kind words to say about Kevin Wilson, for example, after a competitive, tough loss to O$U - I believe it was 3 years ago. I appreciated and remember it to this day. But we don't hear anything like that from O$U fans . . . they think they're entitled, and that entitlement further entitles them to think less of others. Just like Michigan . . . used to . . . and are hoping to again. That earns the "meh" you hear from the rest of the world . . . .

STATEMENT FROM THE INDIANA UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL PROGRAM

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -
Indiana University junior Darius Latham has been suspended immediately and indefinitely from competition with the football team pending the resolution of a proceeding with Indiana University Office of Student Ethics. There will be no further comment regarding this matter until that proceeding is concluded.
We just don't have any luck with the Indy players that were highly ranked

Why does it always have to be our best defensive players?? Ugh, and he was primed to be huge this year, playing better each week. What a pisser. Oh well, let's go big Ralph and Heffern - time to step it up.

That is an example of what I call "OSU lights." Your posters seem to know MORE about O$U players than 80% of the residents of CBus! Herbie moving, et. al. Are you really that smart and know that much about every team in the Big 10? Nearly impossible. I would like you to list Northwestern's last 5 running backs, 4 coaches, etc. You seem so absorbed in OSU, I even have to brush up! NOT really. I am an exception) The posters here do seem to know much more about my Bucks than probabaly 80% of the fans in the stadium every week. I am serious! Naming Andy K, a LB from 10 yrs ago etc! It is amazing! I had to reflect. I am a huge CFB fan. I can remember Vaughn Dunbar and Pete Stoyanovich. That is it! (besides they guys I played HS ball with who started for you.) Of course, I can name our entire roster--special teams-all of it. I am an exception. I had 3 OSU grads over last weekend, and they knew one lineman--Bosa. I bet most of you can name all the O$U-my alma mater--you MUST know all 10 teams and every player. (ok--break time--at least Michigan, Penn St. and Mich St.) Honestly, do you know 75% of their players and the greats of the past 20 years of those teams too? If you put a gun to my head I would say no way. I it all about my school and you study it. Inside and out. I saw a poster today discussing Mo C, Pryor and the Big Kat all in one post!! These guys played years ago! Mo C was 2002! One year. I cannot name anyone from IU except Dunbar and Petie the kicker. Why is that?? Seriously/! Do you subscribe to the Columbus Dispatch?? I cannot name one starter for IU this year, but remember that little Zander QB since he was a male model they talked about during the game and his dad is an actor. That is it!! I DO know Michigan's roster and well as Mich St. Cannot name anyone from IU or Purdue. I guess I am not as much of a fan as I thought it was! I only watch The Big 10 Ntwk 40 hours a week. OH,, correction,,,,,,,,,,,,i know Sudfeld is 6'6" and was injured last year. Has a nice touch I hear. We will see.

This post speaks more to how dumb your fan base is (based on your claims) and how intelligent IU fans are. In other news, water is wet.

You ought to get that short-term memory problem checked out. It could be a serious medical condition.

I don't pay extraordinary attention to O$U; when O$U was going 7-6 I paid almost no attention at all. We pay attention to O$U only because O$U is ranked in the top 5 consistently and we're bombarded with media attention lavished on O$U's team.

BTW, if you haven't heard of Cody Latimer, Tevin Coleman, or Jordan Howard, you're not much of a college football fan . . . you're just another homer. That isn't a serious medical condition; it's just a common personality disorder.

Good lord this is getting so old
Have you had MORE than ONE??? I keep reading about O$U difficulties with players on THIS board who played in 2002! Mo, TP Andy K (Andy did skip one summer school class--we admit it) This guy must have done something really really interesting. IU would not suspend a starter and the leading sack guy for something minor---were any felonies in the local rag??

Mind numbing...try to work in a paragraph break if you want people to read this.

Ohio st is a Football factory on a shitty campus...congrats on that.

Who?? I read about the back this week. How many are getting drafted in the first 5 rounds? We have about 8-9 this year--and then year after year after year. 1st round this yr--Bosa-Zeke-Washington-(none are seniors) Lee could go in round 2 -he is a RS soph. He will stay. More OSU players will be drafted in the top 5 rounds THIS year, than any other team in the nation Then our 2016 & 2017 classes are so far away from anyone else they will end up #1 in the nation. 5 stars galore. Cathedral Latin's own Terry Mac may be drafted in 3 years in the 1st round. Gotta love that--great kid. Gunner on KO team. watch how fast he gets down the field Sat. He can only be the gunner here now---HMM. wonder what he would be doing at IU???

Have you had MORE than ONE??? I keep reading about O$U difficulties with players on THIS board who played in 2002! Mo, TP Andy K (Andy did skip one summer school class--we admit it) This guy must have done something really really interesting. Still classless I see.

This bucknut doesn't fall far from the O$U tree . . . Woody Hayes no less. We all know the class he had . . . sucker punching an opposing player on national TV because . . . oh that's right O$U was getting its helmet handed to it - with its head encased inside - in a bowl game . . . again.

meh.

Really ? You don't know who Tevin Coleman is? You're a real football genius, but I'll fill you in anyway. He was the 2015 3rd round pick of the Atlanta Falcons ( you know who they are right ?) who ran over, around and past your vaunted OSU defense to the tune of 228 yards and 3 TD's on 27 carries .
"Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS". Cardale Jones
That pretty much sums up what I think we ALL know about your program.

He would be trying to get admitted to IU

I hereby give you permission to ignore them. Permission granted son.
