Ballo, Carlyle and Hatton were the only 3 playing yesterday. I don't think the "fat" comments are warranted at all. Ballo maybe can do more for this team, but I would say he played pretty well against Gonzaga. He also gets up and down pretty well for a guy his size.

What I try to do is think about what people are saying. I remember how Bob Knight did not pick Charles Barkley for the Olympic team because he was too fat. At Moses Malone's funeral Charles said that Moses told him he wasn't playing much because he was too fat. Was Moses being mean or was he just speaking the truth that would end up being beneficial? I believe Dan is trying to motivate Ballo for the young man's benefit and also for IUs. I remember when Dan called Aaliyah Boston fat because she came into the season heavy. She lost weight and improved.
