Couldn’t have said it better….

Which God do we pray to? I think people have come up with about 3,000 of them. You think that 2,999 of them are fake while I think that 3,000 of them are fake, so we're 99.97% the same.

My sister is really big into arguing for prayer in schools. I say "fine" as long as we treat all religions and denominations equally. There are something like 2,000 established religious sects/denominations, so with a set rotation, and with 180 school days a year, your particular prayer can be said once every 11 years or so. That's what you had in mind, right? NO? You just want YOUR PRAYER, every day? Nah...

I like prayer in school to be lead by the students. Now if a teacher wanted to join them then that would be fine. But let the kids lead it. And none of what I am talking about is the government establishing a religion. The coach who was praying on the 50 yrd line had a right to do so. He did it himself and then some who wanted to pray did so as well. I would not consider that to be establishing a religion.

Can any coach just decide to do it, whenever and wherever?

Would you be OK if the coach were Muslim? Jewish? Hindu? Buddist? Snake charmer? Church of Satan?

"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

- John Adams

You don't have to be a Jew or a Christian, but you must live by the judeo-christian ethic if want to be a good U.S. citizen.

The lefts descent into secularism is tearing the country apart. They have just adopted wholly new, more destructive religions like gender identity, climate consciousness, and yes "wokeism". It's why you see them routinely trying to tear apart the constitution over stuff like abortion because they don't hold any of the values that allow them to interpret the document correctly.

You look at the anger of someone like an OS or a TMP and at least part of the reason for said anger is that they have abandoned the moral framework that religion provides.

Because we are a pluralistic society I would be fine with any Coach praying any way he wanted in accordance to laws. Now I would hope the snake charmer doesn't bring the snakes on the 50 yrd line. lol What we can't have is coaches who tell players they HAVE to participate. But if a fellow snake charmer on the team wanted to join in then they could do it too.

Come on... When any authority figure--- your boss, your coach, etc.--- is leading the group under him/her in any "volunteer" effort, especially a kids group, there is implicit pressure on the kid to "volunteer" to please that authority figure. Maybe even, in the case of the football players, to show that coach that you are a team player and deserve more playing time.

Your characterization is horseshit and if you listened to 10 seconds of the Coach or any of the players talk about the incident you would know that.

Sort of like when elementary school teachers try to lead students into using and changing their pronouns? I’m sure you’re consistent and against all religions in the classroom😉

Yes, because that is such a big issue in the real world. Do you know any actual teachers? People like you are what's driving good teachers out of the profession.

Some of you are so brainwashed by Fox news.

I know my wife and myself. Is that enough?
So you are saying this is a legit big issue in your district? My wife has taught 20 years. Had 10-12 teachers over the other night for a cookout.

Not a one of them teaches this stuff or tries to coerce kids in any way. But we do have some gay and transgender kids in the school and they do provide them support and watch over them for bullying. Same as they would any other kid.

All of them are tired of being second guessed in their motives. You guys make crappy incomes so it does not take much for folks to say screw it.

I guess I’m old fashion, but I take issue with teachers talking to students about their gender and etc. It’s not our job and makes us look ridiculous (or worse). Teach your subject area and move on. As for how prevalent it is, I agree with your wife.

I take issue with all the stampeding blue unicorns. Are you doing edibles too, snarlcakes?

Maybe for feckless academics without the courage to stand up to someone for their beliefs🤣
