It appears to me the kid can play. I think he would fit in fine if he had to play some. Maybe he would struggle defensively, but he really moves well and brings the ball up quickly.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm not suggesting he move up in the order. But I do think he is a good walk on.

I hope he gets some opportunities. But, with the depth of our rotation this year, I think even some of the schollie players will have a hard time seeing a lot of minutes.

He seems to be on top of the walk-on ladder...and getting him a few minutes, given this squad's propensity for injury...wouldn't be a bad thing...but we do have a nice back court rotation...

The information I got from someone that knew Cooper very well was that the kid 'could flat out shoot!" I beleive that is accurate considering he made a 3 in HH, the exhibition game, and in the Princeton game.

I am guessing defending an athletic D1 guard and length may be why he isn't going to play.

He could be the type of player that could come in and make a critical shot in a pressure situation. I doubt Archie would do that and he would be crucified, and maybe with cause, for bringing a walk on with little playing time to take a critical shot.

He would need to play more and shows he can make shots with the game still in doubt. I don't think we will see that unless he starts embarrassing our rotation players in practice.

I did not say Cooper would be the #1 option, but he may very well be one of the top 5 3pt shooters on the IU team, if you need a 3pt shot, and put your top 5 3pt shooters on the court that the opposing team must guard.
