IU plays Michigan and has a bye the next two weeks. Ohio State plays Purdue and Northwestern. Assuming neither team loses, the IU-Ohio State game is by far the best matchup on 11/23. Could IU be on College Gameday a SECOND time?

Looking at the schedule for that Saturday, it is by far the best matchup. Couple of the top SEC teams playing non-conference foes and, as of right now, the highest ranking teams in a head-to-head.
OSU fans will lose their minds if so. That would mean their last 6 games of the year will be at noon. I think I saw that CBS had first pick that week, so I’d count on a 3:30 start.
Where did you see that? I haven't been able to locate it.
And while I think we'd likely be the choice that weekend, it wouldn't be quite the lovefest it was when it was here in Bloomington. ND vs. Navy might register too, but it's at Yankee Stadium. Maybe that's a draw, maybe that's a minus.
I can’t see them ever doing a full-blown Game Day at Yankee Stadium. It’s a congested urban area with very limited open space. The exterior doesn’t lend itself to a crowd gathering - - it's enough of a shitshow just trying to get in for a game.
I think it’s a lock for OSU.

There really aren't any other comparable, on campus, high major matchups that day. So if they go with the best high major matchup, it'll likely be in Columbus.
If Army is still undefeated, I could see them trying to figure out the logistics of Notre Dame/Army at Yankee Stadium. Sounds like not great for the crowd control, but that would be great TV.
Other interesting games I wouldn't be surprised to see getting it:
Yale at Harvard...both are having good seasons, the game has Ivy League implications. Obviously a huge rivalry.
Montana at Montana State...huge rivalry, bit game in the 1-AA world, and in their conference.
My money is on them figuring out how to do it at Yankee Stadium.

Ever been to a game there? It would be a logistical nightmare. It would almost certainly necessitate some road closures and possibly no access for a time to and from the Macombs Dam Bridge and the Deegan. It's typically vehicular and pedestrian gridlock under the best of circumstances. For this, you'd have people spillng out onto the streets and traffic at a standstill. No can do for the NYPD.
The only way it would work would be if the Game Day on-air people were set up on the field, like IU's smaller-scale Game Day on that Thursday night in 2017, with no (or very limited) Game Day activities outside the Stadium itself.
A big joyous crowd in the background is a huge part of the Gameday broadcast. You won’t get that at Yankee Stadium. Plus, the show hasn’t been to Columbus this season.
I am not sure how College Gameday at an away game helps IU? Wouldn’t it get Buckeye students and fans more hyped up for the game? Also, gameday doesn’t call the game and probably would spend very little time hyping Indiana. Pat may hook us up with a few jabs to OSU fans, but typically the visiting team isn’t in any spotlight. So, I would think we wouldn’t want Gameday to be there for OSU; right? I don’t recall any mention of Washington at our Gameday except when they called their matchup picks. They will include IU/OSU in their picks anyways regardless where they go.
It's a potentially huge game with national championship implications. That's never a bad thing to bring that kind of attention to your program

All ranked teams should get late afternoon slots. 2 ranked teams should be under the lights in primetime. blah blah blah

I was just reading OSU’s board (Bucknuts) and there was a discussion about game times. A guy on there posted a link about how the networks pick. They came to the conclusion that the IU/OSU game would be at 3:30. Not a definite but it made sense because FOX had the #1 pick the following weekend.

They have a HUGE greenspace/park...you know, where the old field was...right across 161st. They have more than enough room.
It’s correct as written just a quirk of our language that the same sentence can be read two different ways and be grammatically correct. The word “then” would clear it up but was anyone seriously confused?
More people to get hyped up to watch us kick their ass.
