Is this really just not part Woody’s O scheme? It’s simply not about creating 3pt shots in the flow of the offense? At any point in the shot clock, at any point in the Xs and Os? Just pick-and-roll and iso ‘til the cows come home?
Or is it more about not having shooters, not having confident kids who pull the trigger? Kids who have all the chops and Steph-level trickery to get themselves space to shoot?
If this is a planned “anti-deep ball offense”… in all seriousness… WTAF is this program/coach trying to become? And how on Earth is it supposed to compete by deliberately tying a hand behind its back?
Coach has claimed on numerous occasions, “We shoot enough 3s.” Srsly?!? If so, Robbie Hummel is right. This is a terrible strategy. It’s laughingstock approach to the college game. And recruits are watching. How does this not spiral into abject failure?
