Coach speaks about Northwestern

Character and getting players to buy into the team concept and then focus to put in on the field are part of the secret sauce.

Pretty basic but many coaches are routinely blinded by pure talent and ignore major character issues which often end up poisoning the locker room and/or leading others astray...

Having a Head Coach who sticks with his priorities and principles up front saves a lot of heartache and issues on the back end...

We're lucky to have Cignetti...

76 and Vesuvius, couldn't agree more on CIG and how lucky we are.
Think of all the schools who could have hired him but didn't. Cudos to IU and Dolsen for having vision and going for it.
Cig's experience is apparent. Nice to see.
Watching other schools struggle with coordinators who are first time head coaches shows a big difference in performance.
I love we got a proven guy and paid the $$. Cig will make more next year, but we came in over $4M on the first pass. Nice job IU.
Refreshing not to chase the shiny new guy.
Go Hoosiers!
