Welcome to the inaugural Coach Cig tailgate thread where we pay our respects by beating the sh*t out of the Irish and having a semi-wholesome thread about football, food, beer, music, gambling, juggling, good natured sh*t-talk, and run-on sentences. Anything goes except for politics. Take that sh*t to the bball freebie board.

What you eating and drinking for the big game? We’re having pizza and wings. Beer is TBD.

Driving to Fort Wayne later today for some Arena wings and pizza.... if you know you know.
oddly, I’ve only been to Ft Wayne once for an AAU tourney in high school. A few of my college roommates were from that area but more north.

We’re having some wings from a Korean chicken place and pizza from another local place that knows my order when I call every Friday.

About a month or so ago, my neighbor won really good tickets in a silent auction to the Bucks-Cavs game in Cleveland tonight. When he asked if I could go, I didn't think one of the most anticipated college football game I'd like to see would be on the same night. All that said, I'll be at the Bucks-Cavs game tonight, but we're going to find a place to watch the tailend of the IU-ND game.

I really do think the winner of this game has the inside track to the National Championship game.

I'm watching it a local watering hole. Eating anything (watch-out wifey) and everything. Hopefully, I can restrain myself from drinking too much. I have to coach the young guns bball game in the morning.
Let’s see. Football talk. In college I kicked 50 yard field goals in 3 separate stadiums with friends. They were empty. I also punted on our college intramural team. The punts were so devastatingly long they often altered the course of games. No one had ever seen someone who could do that and they simply weren’t prepared for a leg like that. Cortez can confirm. He played qb

What a great time. Gonso, Isenbarger, Butcher.

We played Bloomington HS, now South, that evening. It was announced during the game that IU was going to the Rose Bowl and the entire gym erupted. Went on for several minutes. Can still feel the chills. We have waited so long for this.

Is it better than Oley's? Their pizza is still one of my favs.

If you ever get to Bristol, CT there is a bar that goes back to the Revolutionary War that has the most bonkers good wings that are sauced, fried, and then sauced again. Went with three guys I work with and they covered our table in plastic, dumped a bucket of 100 wings on it and gave us each our own pitcher of beer that we just drank directly out of. I'll be talking about that day on my deathbed.

Those punts drew the loudest cheers.
What kind of horseshit intramural team did you have that caused you to punt?

Air Circus. Everyone get open and let's let it go!

No offense to Cortez intended, but it sounds like you needed a few guys that knew how to use their hands to catch a ball. Too many damn soccer players, probably.
