Fareed today was saying something CO would love, US extraction of oil and NG is cleaner than Russian so there is an environmental reason to replace Russian with American.
I find this hard to square with all the woke expressions of CNN‘s prime time lineup, since they starting insisting Trump colluded with Russians over 5 years ago.
It just seems out if character. Maybe the editorial policy is changing there, for the better.

Hmmmm timing, Ukraine war consumes media...Wondering if they are covering up some of the backlash that seems to be growing about the billions the government paid to run these ads and ran them without warning of effects of some of these vaccines. Not just here in the states around the globe. Most ads regarding any kind of medicine at least run a disclaimer. Not the vax. AND it was the tax payers dollars paying for these billion dollar ad campaigns. The numbers of deaths, heart attacks, blood clots, and illness from the shot are skewed. It'll be interesting to see how this pans out. Probably get swept under an msm rug, but there is growing chatter.

In all seriousness the media does always have to have ONE thing that they harp on continually and they do it until they think something better comes along. Obviously they don't control what happens in the world but they do control what they cover and they always have a subject that dominates about 75% of the coverage.

Giuffre has made similar accusations against all of them also in court documents. (All deny any wrongdoing or involvement in Epstein's sex trafficking.) Giuffre has said in court papers that she saw Clinton in Epstein's presence but did not witness Clinton participate in any sexual activity.

Too many paid off shills and the shock factor. That type of journalism is almost 100% absent unless its bullshit with nothing to back it up. Nobody does the real work anymore. The Boston Globe story about catholic priests. I imagine in this day and age there could be blockbusters every day.

Fact: Ukrainians are willing to fight hard for democracy, to the point of sacrificing their lives for a chance at freedom. That concept should be near and dear to all Americans, since it has been in the past, for centuries. Some segments of our population, however, supported (and still support) the anti-government / anti-democracy insurrection and believe in fairy tales.

I disagree - the thread points directly at the issue of how Americans view and value liberty these days - their own and others.
The war in Ukraine is about political liberty - which elections count and which are considered illegitimate, and when one group separates itself as a nation from others, the if/when that separation matters/lasts, and why. And when is it OK to force regime change. For those of us who did not hide from history, or sleep though it, these are issues the US has faced too.
To a different and lesser degree, this period of Covid, and Covid restrictions, has been undergirded by what a government can do and what restrictions on liberty it can issue, when, why, and what quantum and quality of information it needs to support them, and at what level - national, state, local. Example - in some nations, one guy gave orders. Here, a Democrat governor issued state level orders for almost 2 years, and the feds were mostly irrelevant. Now, the GOP legislature has transferred that power to locals. It all happened without much consensus on the SCIENCE and in the context of ever-changing advice from the medical community.
CNN has chosen sides in all of these issues - and many others. IMO they have abandoned their role as an neutral check and balance on government power. They aren’t alone. Much of the press always took sides. A sliver maintained independence. Example - CNN spent two years defending federal POWER re: Covid, opposing TRUMP re: Covid, and now 2022 defending BIDEN re: Covid. People versus power choices. Suddenly, the Ukraine conflict sends them back to the dusty side of the library to re-visit when liberty matters.
