No rational person would take issue with the claim that there’s fat and wasteful spending in government. As someone suggested in another thread, if Trump and Musk had taken a sincere, sound, methodical approach to this (including full disclosure of the DOGE team members’ identities, transparency regarding security clearances, etc.), instead of a steamroller, scorched earth, fire first ask questions later approach, there would have been overwhelming support. Instead, their hubris got in the way and there’s a tone deafness that is appalling. Musk’s chainsaw stunt demonstrates that these two egomaniacal billionaires care little, if at all, about the thousands of families whose breadwinners just lost their jobs and face difficult, uncertain futures. What a disgrace. You’ve been conned again, lower and middle-class MAGA.
