We have our guy, and I believe he has more upside.
NO!!!!! I think we have a good in Medoza and Beck looked pretty bad in several games. I don't think he helped himself with his teammates when he got his Lamborghini which may have led to some issues in the huddle.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Milroe hit the portal. He may make more staying in college vs his draft status.

Several big programs probably need QBs — ND, Oregon, Miami, and Georgia. Ewers may hit the portal. I’m glad we got a top-2 QB already — impressive work from the staff.

He can do both, but has to decide what he's doing later this month.
Read some articles that state he probably got a not so glowing draft grade (he did say he was headed to the NFL) and that someone came along and threw the bag at him to stay in college. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. I'm actually having dinner this weekend with a client that's a huge UGA fan and booster, curious to get his take.
Beck will be committed to Miami within 48 hours and will likely be the highest paid player in college football next year.
After they missed out on Mendoza, I imagine they are throwing everything they can at him. I don't think that's the greatest idea but I also think they may be a little desperate.
No but Miami doesn't have a QB. He's from Florida and dates one of the twins on the Miami's basketball team who are all over social media day in and day out.
I thought this as well. When he was injured I thought he actually declared. However, I would think that Beck slipped down the draft board with that injury. Probably got some agent advice. He had a fairly significant injury to his throwing arm and my thought is that he was going to slip down the board with that. He probably figured to come back, show the injury is not an issue moving forward and move up in rounds next year.
He will get an NIL deal and not hurt for money in putting in one more year.

If he actually had UCL surgery, I’d be surprised he is healed and ready to play by opening game. The $$ I read seem risky.
He's never impressed me. He QB's a really great team, so obviously he's looked good. I'm not even sure he's an upgrade over Stetson Bennett. Better tools, but Bennett was a gamer. Happy with the guy we got, and this is interesting to watch, but we aren't and shouldn't be a player here, imo.
Playing on a great team has always made judging ability hard. At least for me.
How to evaluate a QB when his OL gives him time, his run game forces an extra player up front, and your D gives you short fields.
If he is not staying in this QB draft, then he clearly did not get positive news during the pre draft process.
You would have to decide he is monumentally better than what we already have in order to justify the NIL dollars it would require to get him here, so no.
His gf goes to Miami U, and I imagine he will be getting paid more for a year in Miami than a rookie contract in the NFL. He will most likely improve his draft position if he stays healthy. Of course, if he gets injured again he may have completely screwed himself, so this makes me think the money Miami offered couldn't be turned down.

Yea. I don't know where in the draft he would go, but he isn't very good so probably 2nd round or lower, meaning $1.2-2M in the NFL vs. $4M at Miami. Easy choice!
Speaking about offers, Nebraska just signed an OT 6-6, 320 who has started every game at Alabama. That must have cost a bundle!
Nebraska football must have a huge NIL budget. It's the only game I'm town.
