I'll waste hours watching college basketball and NFL football.
I record stuff. FS2, BTN, SEC and the lower ESPN channels will replay games I might have missed. NFL Network replays games. I might have a problem.
Oh, I thought the question was about why people joined Peegs, not a particular time.

I rarely frequented the BB board(s) back then and I still don't much. Too many 'experts' posting. Any AAU or Jr. High coach in Indiana at that time thought they were Bob Knight.
I've got a replay going in the background all through the workday, late night if I can't sleep, early mornings.

When I worked from home, I always had to have the TV on. I've watched so many Andy Griffith re-runs, I could quote most every script. lol
I'll be siting with with my youngest brother, a couple of cousins, an uncle, a family friend and whoever else on a family member's porch or in a pole barn drinking some beers and the conversation at some point will be about that Erickson, Smith, Jones, McGuire, Knebel (take your pick or make one up) kid who is tearing it up in 7th-grade hoops just like his brother/cousin/dad/uncle (pick one).

HCTV (Hamilton County TV for the noobs) has some pretty decent HS basketball coverage. I actually enjoy watching HS ball quite a bit these days.
I do watch a metric shit ton of EUROPEAN FOOTBALL (for @Univee2 ) but, again, my rooting interests are pretty much in this order:
Manchester United
Whatever team some American is playing for
Messi
Upsets
And none of those much matter to me really at this point.
Also, to be sure, the ONLY way to watch a game these days is recorded. If there is a game I want to watch (and not the next day) I record, wait one hour, start watching and ff through commercials. I hate commercials with the heat of 1000 suns.
I spent a half hour last night emailing every Burger King email I could find including the president shredding them over their annoying commercials that they air nonstop and how happy I am every time I see one of their stores go under
I have a confession to make - I'm hooked on the BK Bacon Double Cheeseburger. Cheap, cheesy, flame-broiled tastiness. Large enough to satisfy and not all bun.

But I eat fast food burgers about once a quarter. So, there's that.
70-110 and 21-33 in conference. in his 7 complete seasons he has lost 11 or more games 6 times and has had two 19 loss seasons to go with a 16, 15, and 13 loss seasons.

Unlikely. I was 7 years old in 2001, we only had one dial up computer and my older brother and sister wouldn’t let me use it.
I hadn't eaten at a Burger King in years until a couple years ago when my brother in law said he wanted me to try one of their Impossible Whoppers with him. I could have gone without ever eating that.
Any way, the reason I stopped eating at Burger Kings is because of my friend - we'll call him Vince (because that's his name) - used to work at one in high school. He told me it was common practice to pick up a burger that was accidentally dropped and throw it back on the grill. He also said there was some weird dude who regularly made the burgers at his location that would regularly let sweat drip on the burgers as he was grilling them.
I actually don't eat much fast food at all these days...but that was the impetus for it all.
For me it’s college football, golf (not the disc stuff that shooter thinks is golf), and college basketball

I thought about this just the other night. I'm an 80's kid and that’s my NBA golden era, but the league has improved. Now, my 8 year old is getting into it.
The play is still lacking, but the competition, and amount of teams/players make it more interesting. Players resting is hard on the league as well. But the NBA is on the rise, imo.
The firing of Coach Knight became a hot topic on the Indianapolis Star board at which I was active mostly due to politics.
Did, however, take an interest in the Knight debate. The Peegs site was often mentioned on the Star board, so I took a look and discovered The Cooler.
The Star board then folded which left me with the great Buzz and his Cooler.
