Mississippi vs. A&M???Some rumors that Beard will now go to Texas A & M
Gets back home to Texas, so there's that.Mississippi vs. A&M???
Which would be better for Beard?
So you can actually hire a proven coach it appears.Interesting hire for Maryland. They apparently looked hard at the George Mason coach, UConn assistant, and Chris Collins late
Guess it depends on what “proven” means to you. He’s been out of the first weekend of the tourney one time at Virginia Tech and A&M. He got to VT in 2014. Would argue we are cleaning house to have higher expectations than thatSo you can actually hire a proven coach it appears.

Some may have mis-used the term "cannot"; several folks (I think correctly) spoke of what pool IU (and schools like Louisville and Kentucky) SHOULD have been fishing in; that pool included people with untapped upside talent (perhaps over people with experience who either might not have been a fit at IU or might have had a more limited upside despite their experience).Willard left
Buzz left
Will Wade left
Beard will likely leave
I am just saying the talking point was IU cannot get anyone who has any experience at a P5 level because Louisville and Kentucky did not. That is simply not true though it made for a nice talking point.
So you can actually hire a proven coach it appears.
Turns out they didn't want whoever your favorite 'flavor of the month' guy was.But I thought it was impossible to get an established P5 coach to leave for another P5 school? That’s what I was told throughout IU’s coaching search. Turns out IU doesn’t really want to win.
A&M for everything ....Mississippi vs. A&M???
Which would be better for Beard?
So far, other than IU, the only P5 to P5 moves have been Kevin Willard and Buzz Williams. Did you want IU to hire one of them? But I thought it was impossible to get an established P5 coach to leave for another P5 school? That’s what I was told throughout IU’s coaching search. I absolutely would have wanted Buzz Williams. So far, other than IU, the only P5 to P5 moves have been Kevin Willard and Buzz Williams. Did you want IU to hire one of them?
You know nothing about him.I absolutely would have wanted Buzz Williams.
If IU had hired Buzz this forum would’ve imploded. So you can actually hire a proven coach it appears.
I would have been happy. He is much more proven than DeVries. Williams took freaking Virginia Tech to the Sweet Sixteen. That program is awful. DeVries hasn’t even been out of the first round. If IU had hired Buzz this forum would’ve imploded.
So you would rather have proven mediocrity? Got it!I would have been happy. He is much more proven than DeVries. Williams took freaking Virginia Tech to the Sweet Sixteen. That program is awful. DeVries hasn’t even been out of the first round.
Zzzzzz…Beard, Wade, Willard and Buzz. That's a list of varying levels of talent
You can lipstick the coaching accomplishments of Darrian DeVries up all you want but he's IUs coach because after 25 years of administrative ineptitude IU slid to him. We'll never know who Scott and Pam had conversations with. Scott and Pam,,,,,smh.
No. They clearly didn't want Buzz. Is that hard to fathom, or do you just like finding every reason to bitch about everything?Willard left

Dime store discount bin Tom Crean.
Williard had his best ever season this year. I'm not sure he made a wise decision to leave. Villanova won't be an easier place to win.Interesting hire for Maryland. They apparently looked hard at the George Mason coach, UConn assistant, and Chris Collins late
