Woodson is the obvious ill, even for the casual fan. What we just witnessed, at home, game on the line, was rhatard.

Even though the shooting and ballhandling wasn't as improved this year as I hoped, they still should be Top 5 in conference w this group.
Heck, the sportswriters voted IU a top 3 B1G team and ranked them.
There was actually a bunch of people here who stated that Woody was still coaching, so the team would underachieve. They were right by a mile.
Kinda like the SEC winning all those hypothetical football games..
I was foolish enough to think Woody would at least get them to the tourney, however when it started looking bad I quickly realized how foolish I was to think that.
BigTen tournament may be in jeopardy now… we’re only one game in the loss column ahead of the teams being excluded from the BTT.
Dolson had a great seat to view the incredible coaching decisions at the end.
Goode comes from a winning sports family and does’t deserve to be part of this dumpster fire.

Woodson drew up a great play there at the end. Sneaky clever set if you need the breakdown… Leal wasn’t doing much and Ballo is too short to be useful in such a situation. Send in two fresh guys but DONT tell them the play so we can use their natural creativity and ingenuity. Once the inbounder gets the ball, that’s when the magic starts. Send two guys to the corner ASAP (one to make the shot and the other to be in prime high five position following a hopeful go ahead basket), it’s the most versatile spot for a player. We execute the inbound perfectly. Next comes the shot and Woody knows that’s exactly the shot we want—Rice loves the fadeaway double-teamed turnaround corner three when you only need two points. He makes that 9 times out of 10 too and we were just so unlucky that it was the 1 time it doesn’t fall. Woody thought ahead in the off-chance of a miss though by subbing out Ballo for Goode(Goode is a far better rebounder, he should be able to clean up a miss). Annoyingly, bad bounce off that miss. Annoying outcome but grateful to have a coach that put us in the best position to win.

Feel bad for him. Hopefully he's getting a good grad degree and a little cash. Beats getting a job.
Woody knows its over. The saddest part, he's doing the best he can. I have to imagine that behind the scenes there are serious conversations going on. Stepping down now or letting this go on. Which is the best to stop the bleeding in terms of legacy?

Wish I could find it, there was a.great pic of Whitten and Dolson at CTA's last game against MSU right as the wheels came off late in the 4th. It was unmistakable looking at that photo, at that moment CTA's fate was sealed.
I think that's also a big part of the issue here. He's not, he's checked out, I believe. From bailing on dinner with a recruit to apparently playing golf a TON this summer (if the Sleepers guys are to be believed), to minimal presence on the AAU circuit, he's not putting the time in and it shows. Not hard to connect the dots and see he's also not putting the time in in practice when you look at how ill-prepared we are and how many basic mistakes we make.

Sure, any coach can probably relate to that from time to time, but the followup is "why?" Why after four years of coaching this program are starters and seniors unable to execute a play that they are supposed to know?
Maybe in the pros it's enough to diagram a play and then assume the players will "know" it. But maybe in college they still need to be running these plays in practice until they can execute them flawlessly, while sweating and fatigued. Are they?
I don't know. But these questions occur to me.
