Brohm is going to Louisville.

Louisville has a small but phenomenal incoming recruiting class mostly tied to NIL. They have 4-5 kids from John Bosco committed which is a powerhouse in LA as well as a 5* RB. Be interesting if they hang on to those kids. Brohm prying Brady Allen could be a gut punch. Purdue turns over a ton this year.

Until half the LSU roster is either in the portal or sitting out for the draft. Brian Kelly can suck it
Yeah, can't imagine LSU is real happy about playing Purdue in the Citrus Bowl. They were #6 in the CFB playoff ranking two weeks ago and controlled their own destiny and then inexplicably lost by 3 TDs to A&M and got their doors blown off by Georgia. Went from comfortably playing in a NY6 bowl to playing a middle-tier B10 school that 75% of their fan base couldn't locate on a map.

It is Louisiana, I doubt they could locate Baton Rouge on a map - but could tell you exactly where gran pappy wrastled that 12 foot gator

There are quite a few strong possibilities out there. Wish we had an opening.

Can you? Sounds like JaMarcus Shephard is being strongly considered.

If I recall he was the reason they got Rondale Moore, David Bell, Milan Wright, among others as the WR coach.

He has no HC experience but learned offense from Jeff Brohm and now KB. There are probably worse choices. I have seen Kevin Sumlin's name as well thrown out as an example.

He's never had play-calling duties much less been a head coach at any level.

So you're just repeating what I already said? Thanks
I'm reiterating that he's a serious candidate opposing a comment (that wasn't made to you to begin with) that Bobinski wouldn't hire an unqualified candidate with zero head coaching experience.

A Big Ten AD isn't going to hand over a bowl team to someone with zero head coaching experience at the college level. Well most of the AD's anyway.
Let’s see outside of Glass hiring Allen what other coaches were hired without head coaching experience hired by bowl teams. Off the top of my head.
Pat Fitzgerald
Brett Bielema
Ryan Day
Dabo
Lincoln Riley

Marcus Freeman had no head coaching experience prior to promotion to the ND position. While not the B1G, ND is still a pretty important position to be a head coach.

Dolson must have taken Bobinski out on the town and spiked his drink. This is an IU move all the way.

Wow. Even when you were 100% WRONG, you still manage to take a shot at IU. Don't try to tell us you're a long time fan who doesn't settle for mediocrity. You're nothing more than a hater with an agenda. Your life would be so much better, as would everyone's here, if you would find another team to "support."

HIring a young defensive minded coach and Graham Harrell as the OC will be Purdue's final nail in the casket! HOO-HOO-HOO-Hoosiers!

Like GH hire.
The slight of hand move to add Brees is positive. Reminiscent of Matta to IUBB.
Wait in see on HC. Flabbergasted no HC experience was part of the criteria. Makes me think the budget received some consideration. Lots of Q's.

Same budget they used for Brohm before he left. They probably called klieman, deboer, etc, but they weren't leaving. I'd rather have this guy than someone like Tyson Helton I think.

You don't think they could have gotten someone like Kane Womack who is having a great year at South Alabama? That move would have ticked off a lot of IU fans including myself. I was shocked PU went with a coach with zero HC experience. Same with ND last year.

Then the budget was a concern. HC with HCing experience would have had a honeymoon period asking and getting more just as JB enjoyed. Just how it works.

I like how IU fans are scolding Purdue fans about HC hiring.... it's like the blind leading the blind.

Ya, certainly could have. Maybe they interviewed him even? At first, I was pretty shocked, but the further from the hire we get, the more I like him and his philosophy on everything. I think they hired on potential more than anything. Speaking from present day, I love the hire, but, and it's a big but, I fully understand he might not win a game. Not sure we can take a ton from next year unless he wins 8 or loses 10 tbh. Risky for sure.
