Braden Smith a Boiler one more year

It is unbelievable that any major program probably could have had him out of high school, he was offered $6M to transfer, but he stayed at Purdue on the promise of coupon codes and gift certificates.

All joking aside...this is how it should have went down. Its better for everyone if he ends his career up there.

For Smith himself, ignorance is bliss, I guess.
Everyone loves him in WL. Had he taken the payday and gone to a big program...the money would be there but so is the risk. He works well within Painter's program. He can certainly play overseas if he wants to.

Goodness am I the only one who could care less? I'll be glad when the little bearded Leprechaun is done at PU. Is that big goofy looking red headed kid still there? I believe he is like 7'4, he will be the next on my list of players to loath.

Big red sucks too much to loath. He was a bust.

Nope, you're not. But the big transfer from SDakotaState might be loath worthy in the near future. I wanted him in Bloomington. Despite some good big men at IU recently, he still went to Purdon't.

Good for them. It's better for college bball when someone stays where they started. I'd rather see us get better than them get worse. Woody even was 4-4 against the generational run they've been on.

But you commented on it so you must care

do not underestimate the value of unlimited biscuits and gravy at the Triple X on Chauncey Hill. When you are staggering home, with a good one tied on at 230am....there is no better meal. Of course, in about 8 hrs...your stomach will have something to say about it.

Are you completely incapable of doing anything for yourself?

Here is a clue: Stanley, Hey Dude Shoes, NiI store, Westfield basketball, Versity blood center, Trueblood real estate

Apology accepted.
You hit the nail on the head. If N hasn't heard it, it's not true and he's too freakin lazy to look it up himself. His playing the victim is getting quite old. Maybe the new owners here will kick him.

No. Not playing victim. I can’t find anything that details his NIL breakdown. Not even on GBI. There is nothing out there that says how much NIL he’s making from Purdue vs third parties. No information on how much money Purdue is paying in NIL.

I was told here that Purdue had no money to pay. Then they signed cluff. So….

I really do not, if he is there or not. Honestly no one forces me to watch PU so therefore I don't but I do hate reading about the little guy on an IU board that is annoying. I figured the big red headed kid was going to be passed off as the next Edey (the large Mongolian) and I don't want to hear about that either.

I read the threads out of pure boredom and feel compelled to comment to see if I get a rouse from anyone.

The Sleepers Media guys had a video saying that Purdue paid Braden, Fletcher, and Trey $11M - $12M.

And IU was criticized last year for shelling out $5M?

I can tell you I'm damn glad they didn't decide to spend 3-4 million per player on Final Four level, 2 way perimeter players. If they want to give those 3 that much money, more power to them.

Ya. Paying. A couple all Americans that started in a natty is bad. Especially when the missing piece last year was a big, which they got.

No where near that kind of stroke.

Painter did a hell of a job keeping him and picking up a big...on a shoestring.

Keep telling yourself that. Like I said, I'm glad they paid those 3. It was both the "right thing to do"...and it likely kept them from getting Final Four level backcourt guys in the portal. Smith is the only one that approaches that... and he has a nasty habit of getting destroyed on the defensive end by elite guards...and picking bad times to disappear offensively against elite backcourts. But he is a wizard with the ball, and he will average 18 and 10 again probably, and will get another All American award...before getting bullied at some point in the NCAA's and his team losing because of it.
