I think Scott had identified DF as his choice to replace Woodson all the way back during Bahamas trip.
Damn, I was really interested in who the first seven were. 😂You really need to do something about your sarcasm detector.
Not a good sign if they contacted Brownell. That definitely suggests the administration wished to turn the volume down on IU basketball going forward.

Brownell has won at Clemson, he would have done fine at IUNot a good sign if they contacted Brownell. That definitely suggests the administration wished to turn the volume down on IU basketball going forward.
I don't know why anyone would even bring this back up. Dolson was just doing his job and investigating candidates, better and lesser. It's what you do when you hire people. Accomplishment-wise, I'm not even sure Brownell is "lesser". He's been to the tournament like 8X and has a S16 and E8. Dolson should have looked into Brownell; it's called doing his job. That may seem odd to folks after the last 25 years, but it would be irresponsible if he hadn't. Brownell's record after 1 year at Clemson was quite similar to CDDs at Drake and his 1 year at WVU.Brownell has won at Clemson, he would have done fine at IU
people were acting like he would have been a terrible hire, who knows, he certainly has been pretty good at Clemson, with very little nilI don't know why anyone would even bring this back up.
