This makes zero sense.

Scenario 1 - upset OSU and Oregon, we are the 1-2 seed (none of them are projecting this)

Scenario 2 - upset OSU, lose to Oregon, we are seeded 5th-7th (this is allegedly what they're projecting)

Scenario 3 - lose to OSU, we are behind 2-3 Big Ten teams in the selection (OSU, Oregon, possibly Penn St), as well as 3 auto qualifiers (SEC, ACC, B12 champ), likely the SEC runner up, likely a 1-loss ND.... at best that makes us the 9 seed (which none of them predicted).

And if we lose to OSU bad enough, there will be people arguing for a 3-loss SEC team in over us because they will have a top 25 win (Bama, LSU, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, S Carolina...), and we lost to the only ranked team we played (OSU).

This season has been a dream but I would bet good money that we get screwed out of the playoff just like we were screwed out of a NY6 bowl in 2020-21, unless we take OSU down to the wire in Columbus.

This is my basic premise as well....other than a 3 loss SEC team. I think they are eliminated, as it would create a mockery of the selection process. Two loss teams will litter the 12 team field.

ESPN has Indiana strength of schedule ranked 103 for season and 27 for last three games. Hoosiers will definitely be center stage for the next two weeks.

I 100% believe they value a 3-loss Bama over a 1-loss IU. Especially if 2 of those losses are to teams in the playoff by single digits.

"Bama beat Georgia... who did Indiana beat?"

"Bama would be 11-1 without Indiana's schedule too"

There really isn't an argument for IU if they lose to OSU by 2+ scores.

If Michigan played IU’s schedule and went 11-1 with a two TD loss to OSU, they would absolutely be in the playoffs.

If Indiana loses to Ohio State, it'll be in OT...
