reading these threads over the past few weeks has been interesting. We have evolved in our blame...
When you personally look at something that you are trying to make successful, what is it that you usually ask yourself? Think about it....What do you ask at the end of the day?
You ask, "Have I done everything possible that I can do to make this successful?"

- Have the players done everything possible? - I'd say yes. They stay eligible, they lift, and from reports, practice hard.
- Have the coaches done everything possible? - again subjective but I have to say yes. We can question if some are up to the challenge because of the lack of results in the win column but I think the recruiting has resulted in a better B10 team on the field wearing cream and Crimson.
- Have the fans done everything? - I think this is the silliest thing I have heard on the board. It isn't the fans fault. Sure if we had 100,000 screaming crazies at the game each week it would help the atmosphere and give a pick me up late in the game. But blaming the fan is blaming the symptom for the sickness. Any fan that buys a ticket and stays or leaves is supporting the team in ways the person who doesn't show up or tune in doesn't.
- Has the Administration done everything ? - Hmmmm..... I think this is the only category that can't look themselves in the mirror and say they are doing everything that they can. Their lack of contribution over the past 50 years has compounded itself and created what we have today. They still don't get it. We are still at the bottom of the barrel in investment. Guys, they choose NOT to do more. In the end, it is their contribution to success that means the most because it creates the environment and expectations for success. So instead of blaming each other and arguing about who is a true fan, turn around and point at the kaki wearing dunderhead who hides in the corner while everyone argues with themselves. It's comical to watch because it happens every year. The money IS there. We run in the black by $2.5mm a year according to USA numbers. We have Unrestricted funds to tap to make up for the "ignoring" of the program over the past 50 years. The question isn't can we be successful. The question is do we really WANT to be successful? I think the Administrations answer to this question is, "I don't really care if we are or not." Look, it is THEIR product. They are selling it. They have the ability to impose real change.
