Yes, thanks for sharing.A couple of years ago (maybe it was after the 2016 B10 Champs season) I created this chart based on NCAA Tournament success from each of the power conferences champs (Reg. Season, Conf Trn. and both) going back to 1985.
I can't remember now, but I'm pretty sure that I excluded conferences in years that they had no conference tournament. The Big 10 and PAC had years where they were excluded because they had no tournament.
Anyway, if the chart shows up (check back if it doesn't because I'll get it figured out eventually), it shows percentages for how far each group advanced as well as overall win% for each round.
Look at the BTT as a loaded HS Sectional, win one game at a time and move on.It would be nice to gel at the end of the season and win the BTT and get the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Taking a winning streak and momentum into the Big Dance.
Which championship do you consider more prestigious? I used to be all about regular season, but the unbalanced schedules and league additions have started changing my opinion.
I guess maybe my opinion of the tournament is still the same and maybe I just don't like the unbalanced schedules. The conference tournament is still pretty worthless. You play 20 games, give a trophy to the winner.
I know that I’d really like to see IU win the BTT.Which championship do you consider more prestigious? I used to be all about regular season, but the unbalanced schedules and league additions have started changing my opinion.
Momentum going into the NCAA Tournament.Other than the auto bid, the only value to winning the BTT is to be able to say for once that we won the damn thing.
