Biden to commute 37 of 40 killers on death row

Why not Roof, Bowers, and Tsarnaev?

The death penalty is either wrong or it isn’t. You can’t say, well those guys are REALLY deserving of it. That’s not how it works.

I’d have more respect for whoever made this decision if they commuted them all.

Also, why 2 days before Christmas? That’s just horrible optics.

It’s putting the victims families through it again. I just don’t think there’s been a worse administration in my life. Progressives

It’s just a big Fvck You! to the country that has rejected him. Kamalalala, the Obamas, the Clintons and Schumer better watch their sixes.
His bed. Let him die bitter. Worst president in modern history on so many levels. What’s shocking is he had 50 years in gov. He didn’t have to be that way. He was uncle Joe. People loved him. He could have saved us from the fatigue of trump and been a bridge to the next guy. Instead he was co-opted by a cult with little knowledge or experience. I’d have thought he’d have his own plan after that long in gov

Biden was never worth a crap. He was liked because he was a back-slapper good ol-boy. He isn’t smart nor did he have an enduring impact, except as POTUS when his mind was gone and staffers ran things.

The cover-up of his mental feebleness and becoming president is probably the most significant fraud in history.

Ricardo Sanchez and Daniel Troya murdered a family of four, including 3 and 4 year old boys, who they shot a total of ten times. They also shot their mother 11 times while she held those boys in her arms in an attempt to shield them.

Biden seems to be partial to fraudsters like his son.

In good conscience he said he can’t allow trump to pursue executions. What is it with progressives that they take up with the bad actors?

Agreed. If capital punishment is wrong for some, it's wrong for all.

Wasn't just those three. He didn't commute the guys awaiting execution in the military, either.

I agree it makes little sense to give out a mass commutation, but exempt a handful of people. In fact, if I were a lawyer for one of the unlucky few, I'd be working up some sort of appeal on the grounds that being left out is both arbitrary and capricious to the point that it amounts to cruel and unusual punishment, or something like that. No idea if it would work, but I'd want to frame my client as being singled (or nearly singled) out for no good reason.

I don't agree with the Xmas thing. I think the holidays are the perfect time to display some mercy.

Cruel and unusual is forcing the others to live out their natural lives in a box. End it quickly is the only Humane way. 30-40 years of death row is Cruel and inhumane. There should be a right to a speedy death, if we TRUELY believe in our Judicial process not being bias.

I think the timing is terrible for the families. Again Dems seem focused on the wrong parties to a crime.

As to the 8th definitely enough to occupy some nonprofit or law school program I would think.

Absolute joke.

Want a constitutional amendment? Let's eliminate the pardon power. It's archaic, undemocratic, and more often than not, just reeks of corruption.

Costless mercy, sure.

But this type causes heartache and trauma to the families of the victims who have already suffered unspeakable sadness.
