Springdale pool. One would have to see it to believe it. More cut off jeans than swim trunks. Impromptu turkey shoots. Cars doing doughnuts until the pool was covered in a cloud of smoke. Fights between men you couldn’t even imagine could be that big against guys who were 6 feet and weighed 135lbs. And they were even fights. On account of mean and not remotely afraid.

It’s in Jefferson county. 20 minutes from Stl. It starts the country. Then you keep going south in the county it’s like a different world. That scary skinny tough guy was captured perfectly in the movie winter’s bone. If you haven’t seen it it’s solid. Daniel woodrell is the author of the book. A wonderful writer. Wrote all kinds of stuff about the ozarks. Real neat

Haven't seen the movie but read nearly all his books after someone here recommended him. Good stuff. Winter's Bone was the best, I thought.
