I really don't think IU fans should be making that dig.

Not disagreeing with that but what if Crean is here for 13 years.
And 1 E8 and 1 F4 is all he can manage? Would anyone be happy? People are talking Ryan for the HOF (it was mentioned tonight). I only said it to point out just how unspectacular Bo Ryan really is. He's Gene Keady all over again. He owns the B10 in the regular season and does next to nothing in the NCAA tournament.

Let's start off by actually being in the conversation for conference champion each year, like Wisconsin is, before we lament our progress in the NCAA dance. Gotta make some noise in your own conference to be considered for the dance.
This program is nothing more than a mediocre afterthought with a passionate fanbase. We can scream at the top of our lungs that we are a "basketball school" but that doesn't make it so.

you think IU would wait 10+ years for a Final 4 given the deck that Bo Ryan inherited? His first few years after taking over Ryan had Penney, Devin Harris, Alando Tucker...while Crean had ball boys/hper league champs playing PG.
This fan base would never have waited 10+ years for Ryan to make a F4 like Wiscy did if all things were equal. Never.

Maybe you should look at the level of talent Bo pulls in (or doesn't) and yet he turns out B1G contenders year after year and at a minimum, they at least make the tourney year after year. Crean has done less with more talent than any coach in college hoops. He's had more talent at his time at IU than all but 5 coaches (props to TMP) and what does he have to show for it.? THAT is the point.

Seems to me that Wisconsin has an excellent shot of getting another Final Four and a national championship this season.
