2. The What Some Are Saying Will be the Best Speech to Congress Anybody Has Ever Heard or Seen. Will be interesting to see what frivolities the Dems will bring - eggs, empty egg cartons, red cards, screeching, noise makers. Classic tv is sure to happen.

3. Last two episodes of the first year of Manhattan. Don’t know how we missed this ten-year-old series about the Manhattan Project, but we’re hooked. Exhausted pretty much everything else. Ready to go back and watch Hell on Wheels for the third time.

I can’t tell you how many friends have opened restaurants and bars through the years. The only two that have ever had success didn’t go to college and started at 20.

I know a guy from my high school who owns a fair number of Buffalo Wild Wings in Michigan and in Florida. I think he might have managed one in his 20s for a good bit of time and then ended up taking over the franchise when the previous owner retired. Then he started a management group and took off from there.

I kind of hate those places. I haven't really talked with him in years, but I think he got his brother involved and they both seem to be doing relatively well.

That’s very interesting re franchises tho. I wonder how that model compares to starting restaurants. All my friends here start restaurants then after about five years they close them and reopen them as something else or rebrand them etc.
